I had so many issues with bushnell and their horrible non existent support with their other products that I went out of my way to find something different. I have been very pleased with the TecTecTec ULT-X

Price not being a factor I have had no complaints from my Garmin Z80

Leupold. I've found that they are smaller and function just as well as the other brands.

Nikon Coolshot Pro Stabilized. Locked on to target pretty fast and easy even with shaky hands

I have not had a new rangefinder in awhile. Picked up the Bushnell Pro XE. All I can say is WOW. The clarity on this combined with the magnification is amazing. My golf buddies all find reasons to grab mine to use instead of theirs.

I've always used a GPS either through a handheld or Arccos 360. I recently purchased the Bushnell Tour V5 Shift.

In honesty I can't compare to other rangefinders but what I can say is that this is a quick, easy and accurate machine to use. The Jolt technology/flashing red when it locks on to the target is great and makes sure you have locked on to the flag and not a random tree in the background. I'm still getting used to trusting the Slope technology, but it looks to be pretty good...the "Bite Technology" is just a powerful magnet, but is a decent addition nonetheless - I carry my clubs and sticking it to the clubfaces while you walk is quite cool!

This was a lot cheaper than the XE and does everything I need.

I think Bushnell is fairly expensive vs other brands, but in my opinion you get what you pay for.

I like Leopold.

Ive had mine for about six years and some of the numbers on the display are getting to light to read. I called them this week knowing it is out of warranty and said while they can’t fix my old one they will give me a significant discount on a newer model. I thought that was great but was actually shocked when he read me the prices. They are giving me the newest model that retails for $850 for $250. Pretty awesome.

I have tested the latest Bushnell's and own the Nikon Coolshot Pro Stabilized. Although the Bushnell finds the flag faster (you don't need to hold it perfectly still), the image stabilization feature on the Nikon is great for targeting anything else like slopes, bunkers, spots on a green where there is no flag, etc, because you can hold it so still. I can even stop at my buddies ball and range my ball further up to tell how much I out-drove him!

$850? Wow! What features does it have?

Yeah that retail seems extremely high. It’s pretty much the standard high end features now. Slope, club selector, fog reduction, 6x mag, pin lock, accurate to 1/10th of a yard. Nothing really new or cutting edge.

i just looked at the leopold site and it’s retailing for $479.99. In the CSR’s defense I did look at it on their site last week when he told me that and it did say $850 then.

Either way it’s a good discount.

Is the Nikon Pro Stabilized up for an update? The current model is in stores and listed on their site but it’s not really listed on Amazon right now, seems to be what happens when a new version of something is coming out. I tend to buy these things and two weeks later a new one comes out
