BST / eBay Scam - Tour Issue Titleist Driver. Seller Firestone1003

I bought a driver here on the BST on 6/22. There was also a listing for it on eBay. Communication was great when he was trying to sell it - and he has all positive feedback. The member promised to ship the following day. That message was immediately followed by an excuse of why the club wasn't shipped. This past Thursday he stated it would be shipped USPS Priority on Friday 6/26. Yep, you guessed it - not sent. He is reading the messages but will no longer respond. I filed a PP dispute, should I do anything else? Any ideas?

I think it's a little soon to call it a "scam".

There's no excuse for the seller to not ship when they say they will, but it's possible that something happened in their life and they will make it right/ship the club ASAP.

I'm not saying it is or isn't a scam. Just saying they might still ship and maybe something happened.

And it takes mere seconds to send the buyer a message explaining what happened. There is no excuse for lack of communication.

Obviously. Never said there was. That's a given and I'd never deal with the seller even if they have a good excuse.

I was simply saying it's too early to call it a "scam" and there's still a chance the buyer gets the club.

Trying to give the seller a chance in case they had a family emergency or something before bringing out the pitch forks.

But do I think the seller is totally at fault here? Of course.

Seeing the "Paid BST" in his profile would have been enough to stop me from doing business with this him.

I know they look at these topics but it still might not be a bad idea to directly bring this to the attention of a mod.

He just told me on eBay he had covid and was in the hospital for 2 weeks......
