Message from Scratch President/CEO Ari Techner
Scratch Golf and Ryan Moore have amicably agreed to not extend our partnership beyond 2010. We appreciate all Ryan has done to help us grow our brand in 2010. It has been a great year for Ryan on the golf course and for Scratch Golf as a business. We wish him the best moving forward with his career.

The nature of our agreement dictates that Ryan will no longer hold any ownership interest in Scratch Golf. This decision will allow both Ryan and Scratch Golf to pursue other opportunities in the golf industry and on Tour. We hope Ryan will continue to play our clubs and we wish Ryan all the best in his future endeavors. Ryan's presence on the PGA Tour greatly enhanced the visibility of Scratch Golf in the minds of the public and opened many doors for our brand, for which we are very grateful. We want to thank Ryan for the attention he has brought to our brand this year and wish him great success in the years to come.

With Ryan's help, Scratch has seen more play on the PGA Tour in 2010 than in any previous season. Thanks to the quality of our products and the response from players worldwide, we expect our Tour and retail success to continue in 2011. Does this have to do with him cashing in on real sponsorship dollars? How much could Adams really be paying him?

I suppose any amount is better than nothing.

    Ari,

Just wanted to say that I recently picked up a set of the AR-1 irons and they are very nice set of clubs. You have a great product.

really? Did you not see the super long discussion regarding Ryan's play of Ping Irons a while back?

It was only a matter of time....in the end it's about $$$ and Ryan was able to cash in on a steller year.

Good luck to both parties. It seems as if both Scratch and Ryan Moore really had a great 2010, sound like the parting of ways is a positive thing for both.

I've become a believer in the product Scratch puts out, definitely some of the best clubs I've ever hit.. though they've encountered some growing pains, you can't argue with how the clubs perform.

Good luck to Ari and the team at Scratch. image/drinks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':drinks:' />

Oh. My. God. I'm pretty sure that a rift just opened up right down the middle of GolfWRX. Let's see who we lose our e-wood over first.... Ryan or Scratch?

Classy Ari. Pure class. I imagine that you are taking the high road as usual. Question, since Ryan didnt receive cash, did he sell back the company stock he had held? If so, was it worth more or less?

They only call them GROWING PAINS for a reason.

Last time I checked growth is a good thing.

I hope he goes to PING but that doesn't matter. I'm not a huge Ryan Moore fan so what he does is kind of irrelevant to me. Having hit scratch wedges and irons they just did not do anything for me. However some people swear by them. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Bottom line is he is cashing in and Scratch doesn't have the "scratch" lol to pay him. They are a growing company that is probably sinking money back into the business to grow which doesn't leave much profit or money to pay sponsorships. Ryan's year was one that probably created offers he couldn't refuse probably from ping. Anyway it's business folks no hard feelings on either side of the table I'm sure as they both benefited from the relationship.

Great, Adams shells out big cash to Ryan Moore...I wonder if they'll still be insanely slow and inaccurate with custom builds. Maybe we can so fortunate that their stock clubs won't be available anywhere near the time they are supposed to come out now with paying out more sponsorship dollars...oh wait, that already happens.

    Good luck to both.

Scratch Offers a great product I have made several orders from them and never had a problem with customer service.

Actually the exact opposite I feel like Im the only person on their mind at that time which is important to me. I think once they get a full CS

Staff all of these issues will go away I cant wait to see what the future holds for Scratch.

I loved the move into the tour presence but I have to give a big thank you at the ability to stay in touch with the core customers and thats more important to me

than who has the irons in their bag (although its cool to see image/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> ). Ari is one of the only head guys that I see posting daily for the most part and he will always answer

all questions thats something you just dont find today.

But anyway I wish both good luck in the future and Im sure both will be very succesful in the future.

I must ask. Who is this poser that wrote that article about Ryan signing with Adams? I was just on the site and it said nothing about it. Second, I think he needs to check him self before he wrecks himself. Don't come on wrx and bring some Not Allowed because of spam nonsense on here. I wish Ryan and ari the best and I am sure both will be fine next year. Who is to say that Ryan won't play scratch irons next year and carry a bag and woods deal. People love to assume things on this site and write articles about scratch like they are perfect people.

Did you read Ari's post? Ryan and Scratch have agreed to part ways.

You also have to understand that lots of people don't share your passion, devotion, and commitment to Scratch Golf to the degree that you do.
