Extra balls in left pocket

Ball Marker (1897 Morgan Dollar), divot tool and white tees in right pocket

Yeah, I'm not superstitious or anything...

I'm the exact same way but I also have my

Glove go in my back left pocket when I take it off

Scorecard is kept in my back right pocket.

:cheesy: :cheesy: one of my favorite movies too! Yup! We did just become best friends!

1. I never volunteer to do the "tee thing" to determine who hits first. Whenever I flip it, drop it on my driver, or hit with my driver, it points towards me.

2. This is my father's- he refuses to go in the steam room or sauna before a round. he says it relaxes his muscles too much.

3. it's gotta be iced coffee no matter the temperature or time of the day.

My last shot warming up on the driving range has to be a pure, satisfactory version of my first tee shot. I always stop after the first good shot once I'm down to 3-5 balls. Once I bought a second small bucket just to hit one nice shot prior to play. It takes all of my first tee jitters away. Once I'm abut 5 balls from the end of my bucket and a good shot comes, I walk away from the remaining balls. I almost always leave a few balls at the range.

This is kind of a weird one but I keep a core of a ProV1x in my bag at all times. I found it after being run over by a lawn mower and throughout the round I peeled the rest of the cover off, I ended up shooting my best round to date after finding it. 4 or so years later it's still there and I even move it from my regular carry bag to my moon bag when I decide to switch.

When I was in high school our team got our first team tournament top 5 placement and I happened to be wearing an Angels hat. Ever since that day, during my high school golf career, I always wore that angels hat. It also happened that our team won our league in two consecutive years as well as me shooting my career low 9 hole round of 4 under.

So my superstition is the Angels hat. I also have a thing for using pennies i find on the ground as ball markers.

Will never use a Black "T" and if I see one or a broken one on the T box ..... I'll ditch it as far as I can.

Black Voodo Magic/Witchcraft can destroy your game!

Edit ... Titleist Pro-V's .....# 3's are good luck, they always find the hole and know how to make Birdies, too!

- only use a new tee on the first par3

- tee'd ball or putting: logo up, side-step facing target.

- can't use a ball marker of a sports team thats in season. Example: if the Packers were playing on sunday im out playing, my mind gets distracted every time i put the marker down, and for some reason they end up losing that week. I know...stupid.

I can never swing with a "backup" ball in my pocket... It means I have the expectation of losing it. If I happen to have one for whatever reason, or pocket my provisional, I have to toss it out right before I hit my shot. I dunno it's weird I think I'm gonna sabotage myself or something

Agreed. I throw it down so I never hit with ball in my pocket :)

Long and short tee, divot tool and ball marker in right pocket.

  • 2 weeks later...

Divot tool always clipped on right pocket with ball marker in right pocket. Never leave phone, wallet or keys in my pockets while playing. Every time I've used a tee that was already in the ground I hit a bad shot so I only use a broken tee that was laying on the ground.

I truly believe that if I don't watch a game (any sport except golf) from the beginning, and I turn it on part way through, my team will lose. Happens. Every. Time.

my superstition is to never have a back up ball in my pocket. I feel that if i put a back up ball in my pocket that its in my head already that I am going to hit a bad shot. I also make sure I keep my tees in my right pocket and divot toll is always in my left pocket.

I am kind of odd when it comes to this and playing competitive golf, when I am going out for just the heck of it I do not care as much. But for competition I have tees in my right pocket, a 1 dollar coin in my left, and pin sheet in my back right. Carry the card in the bag, and only use sharpie to mark it. I use a dollar to represent one putting, and always mark it tails up because tails never fails. I also always have to have my sunglasses on me whether I am wearing them or they are upside down on my hat. Along with that I only drink water when I am playing, and will only eat candy on the course. Yah idk I'm odd worse things have happened lol

There are some really good ones here! I know that golfers have to be some of the most superstitious folks around.

A new one that I've developed this year is with my wedges. All my clubs always have their proper place in the bag except for the new wedges. I accidentally put them in the bag in the wrong order but I've been playing so well with them that I've decided they can go in the bag however they want, no rules.

These new wedges are wild and reckless. Sometimes I'll even throw a wedge in my bag without looking and it ends up sharing another slot with another club. These wedges just have no F's to give. They'd better not try to share a spot with the putter though...
