Not sure if you guys saw my other post.. But I called Mitsubishi Chemical today and you can tell an Orange Pro from a regular orange by how far the weave pattern travels up above the orange shaft label... A non pro orange will have 2-3 inches of weave pattern above the orange label.. A prob version will have 8-10 inches of that weave pattern above the label

Just received this from MCA-Golf

Jeffrey,

Yes that is indeed a Tensei Pro Orange 60 TX. The MR70 and Tungsten powder icon were a late addition to the cosmetic and will be debuting around the PGA Show.

Thank you,

I tried emailing from website to Tech Department and Sales. Website says to enter the CAPTCHA to prove not a robot and there is no captcha so it won’t submit.

I bought a Pro Orange shaft from an authorized seller. However, the tip does not have MR70 listed on it like the website shows. It's a 60TX flex. The butt of the shaft and sticker both say: MX581 WTX1A.

Is there a way to confirm if this is the Pro Orange with the MR70 tip since it's not etched on the tip like the website shows?

Thanks

I did read it. Yours only mentioned weave pattern traveling up the shaft. I added to the confirmation by also mentioning why "MR70" and "Tungsten Powder" icons were not on the shafts. Additional information is always helpful.

The pro does not have any details on the tip as that photo shows. I spoke to Mitsubishi today. Thier response as follows:

"The quickest visual clue to tell if a shaft a pro orange or a standard orange would be the amount of CK weave in the butt section. The standard orange will use just about 4" of the CK weave material and the Pro will use just about 12" of the material."

Oh, sorry about that. I re-read your post and I see what you are saying now.

I had mentioned this a couple posts up

What about tip to Graphic measurements for tipping. Do you all have the measurements for this ?

Well, according the specs, the pro versions are also a bit lighter, and have a smaller butt diameter.

So did anyone figure out a surefire way to identify a V2 or V3?

Bumping the thread -- also wondering if there is a way to differentiate V2 from V3?

I have a V3 70TX that does not have the MR-70 nor the Tungsten sticker. This was an early release--only the newer releases have those stickers. I have a V2 that is arriving tomorrow. I confirmed it is a V2 with Mitsubishi by reading them the serial number etc. As far as I can tell, the only difference is that the V2 says Mitsubishi Rayon and the V3 says Mitsubishi Chemical. Both are 70TX with no other graphics.

For anyone still following this thread, mine says Mitsubishi Rayon and reads "TENS CKPR OR70TX" on the butt sticker. So apparently not all Mitsubishi Rayon labeled shafts are V2.

Sorry to bump, but does "TENS CKPR OR70TX" definitely mean CK Pro, not regular?
