No equipment will fix that. But hey. Keep spending.

180 out with 100 yard slice is pretty ridiculous. When I catch it right we are talking 240 carry and who knows how long roll out. That's pretty big in the C flight.

I played Titleist DCI 962s for at least twenty years myself. I went through fairway woods and wedges and putters, but those irons didn't want to retire.

They were good clubs, they were stainless steel so they didn't wear out very quickly, and they were fine with occasional re-gripping.

 

All the major brand name models are good, and an internet golf forum isn't going to be very helpful in helping you choose new ones.

Find ones that give you confidence with their look. If they look to you like you can hit them, that's half the battle.

 

Make sure the lie angles fit you and get help choosing an appropriate shaft for your swing and swing speed.

This isn't rocket science so don't worry about it.

 

Don't be afraid to spend a little more than you expected to. Don't go crazy. But new clubs do cost money.

They will last a long time, and compared to the other expenses of playing golf, equipment over the long term is only a small part of it.

 

That's pretty much it. You needn't worry.

None of the major models suck.

The competition to survive won't allow it.
