I don't have the cash at this time and to do a fitting for 2 irons is probably not realistic....

It sucks that you are in the position that you are in, and I wish that you can get a new job or contract soon.

Keep on grinding with the clubs that you have at the moment. It will be a good “grit” story that you can share with your grandkids. Once you can afford it, a fitting for new irons will be very gratifying.

Appreciate it.

I have education and skills, it's just a timing issue before I get back to work..... Hopefully sooner than later. Thanks for the kind words though, I appreciate it.

Oh for the love of golf ...@Paddy_2_Iron you CAN afford it!
Get YOUR MONEY BACK for the "masterfit" irons AND Driver (you were told on course and in here the Driver is crap too)... Take that $$$ and get a proper fitting (crew here will recommend you a good fitter nearby) and get some lessons.
So easy? But, of course you need the balls to front up and demand your money back. Oh, and don't worry, I doubt you actually gave the irons away. Nice pictures though, but funny how none with a receipt or actually in store...
The other option is, we, the entertained audience pay for you to go and get lessons, a fitting, new clubs ... Of course, we want video evidence of it all happening!
So crew, who can @Paddy_2_Iron go to to get fitted, lessons etc. I reckon we pay that fitter / coach direct...

Here Paddy, let me save you a lot of money and a headache (and our own sanity) doing all of this. Buy these X-Hot irons on eBay. They are 5-9 iron with 85g Steel shafts and are 0.75" over length. You already have your Bertha 4i and you have your Mizuno 46* wedge, you don't need anything else. Take these to your local big box store and talk to the club maker/builder there and say you want these generally fit for your height and lie angle. They will likely take you over to Ping's colour code chart, do a wrist to floor measurement and then try a couple of different lengths and iie angles with you. Stress to them that you usually hit a big draw and want to make sure the clubs aren't too upright. $135 + shipping to your door, and the person lives in Bradenton, so within-state shipping shouldn't be too bad. Hell, you and the family could do a day trip to the Gulf Coast and for no more than about a tank of gas you could probably pick them up at a local grocery store parking lot and meet the guy. This is for a set of irons that were almost impossible to keep in stock in 2014 and Callaway still bases iron releases off of these because they were so good.

Buy these, get them generally fit for length, lie, and grip size, and then go out and practice your chipping, putting and iron play and your handicap will drop faster than you think AND the best part is you won't have to spend an arm and a leg on new equipment AND the swingweight will be pretty manageable due to the lighter shafts. Paddy, you can get some very nice deals on iron sets at Callaway Pre-owned, and their service is second to none. You are going to drive yourself batty on this equipment merry go round (not to mention some of the member, lol).

Unfortunately you were treated very poorly by the first fitter. I agree with many others; you should get your money back. If he balks, contact the BBB. Get that situation resolved, then you will know what kind of budget you have to work with. The new stuff isn't THAT much better than clubs that are three years old, for example. The same goes for woods, drivers, and putters.

Get that squared away, then spend your time focusing on your swing. :-)

Thanks I'll check those out when I get back. Heads looks nice, forgiving but not huge or really fat like the last ones I bought.

I have a round today in a few hours so I am going to prep, work on my driver I have a few things in place that has helped a lot. Slightly strong grip on my driver (both hands) And really take a nice relaxed back swing all the way and start with a smooth transition. It really keeps the ball in play when I stick to that strategy.

Anyway back to the clubs I am going to seriously consider those. I could buy them and sit on them until I am ready for a fitting. Im assuming they can be bent for my lie angle, each head?

DEPRESSED!

Shot a 55 on the front, almost like I never played golf before... My friend insisted I use his driver TS2 Titleist instead MF driver. OMG, what a difference. It was about 3/4 inch short and the head was soooo stable through impact. Even my left to rights stayed in play. I even had one par on a 450 yard par 4.

Im ashamed to admit the knock off drive is hits like a wet fart compared to the TS2. I literally threw away over 1000 dollars on shit. I want to cry

I do bomb it but compared to the TS2 it's a joke. The accuracy of the TS2 was remarkable. It was a 55 gram Tensei 10.5 head at A1 setting. I wrote it down in my journal.

Rinse, repeat. You said in the other thread (and this one) several times the same thing. You hit the MF great, then you have a bad round and you hate. Then you go play 9 and hit 2-3 fairways and you are over the moon again with it. Then you miss all your fairways and you hate it again. Either poop or get off the pot, Paddy. Enough of this. Either man up and take lessons with someone reputable to get better, buy something else when you are able, or give up golf. The golf industry isn't going to collapse with you out of it, nor is this website.

Right now you do sound like a mental patient, sorry. You flip wildly back and forth between what you want to do, latch onto a new poster for a day or two drinking in everything they have to say and then do the exact opposite of what they say. Everyone said to get your money back and you chickened out and donated them "for a laugh" and now you're pissed off you spent $1000 on junk when you know full well you were buying junk in the first place. You said it yourself "I believed the guy when he said the technology was all marketing". Literally all you had to do was say to the guy I'm not interested in buying today and gone to a real golf store with your numbers and a comparable product and you would have really opened your eyes and saved yourself hundreds of dollars. And us a headache.

I can not believe I still look at this thread and that it is still going.

Advice given will not be taken. Lots of really good advice and suggestions given. It's like groundhog day the movie.

Sound advice has been given around 117 times. Take one of those suggestions.

In all seriousness. Is this a social or school experiment. Not sure what it is actually trying to accomplish in terms of golf or equipment.
