Anyone know if the Dye course is open during the Players? I assume no, but curious.

Trying to squeeze a round in before going to watch the tournament. WGV is our other option.

Anyone play Palencia?

Im looking at homes there and hope to get down next month to try the course out, $490 month seems kind of expensive for Florida to me.

I like to hit Jax Beach on weekday afternoons and Slammer and Squire for a good round on the weekend. What's in good shape? Any thing that beats Jax Beach in terms of value??

There's nothing in the area that beats Jax Beach when it comes to value. The greens are so good right now (though people *could* fix their ball marks occasionally).

Queen's Harbour has been pretty good lately though some of the fairways and tee boxes could use some TLC.

St. Johns GC is a great option.  That course can be as challenging as you want it to be based on the tees.  I think its 7200 from the back.

GC of South Hampton is pretty good also.

Jax Beach golf course, for the money, is a great value.  Paspalum greens, and it offers a fun layout for the amount of space it has.  The 2018 redesign on this course really hit the mark on affordability and playability.  Course stays pretty busy.

Anyone have suggestions on where to play on the west side of Jax? Brentwood, Hyde Park, Bent Creek, Eagle Landing ... Any of those any good right now?

I like the range at Brentwood. Played Hyde Park about 3 months ago and thought it was rough, the range there also sucks.

Check out Eagle Landing, Eagle Harbor or Fleming Island for the (south)West side of town.  TQ CC is is also a gem if you can get on.

Looking for some more course recommendations, heading down for the Players again this year with a group of 8.  Played Jax beach last year, loved it.  Also played Windsor Parke which was ok.

I'd take any recommendations, will be able to drive up to an hour away from where we are staying on Atlantic Beach.

Pretty much the same. Up that way I like Oak Marsh. Gorgeous course. The ones down here near me are really solid: St. John's golf and country club, Southampton,  and the two WGV courses are always great.

I haven't played Northampton,  Windsor Park, or Queens Harbor. Hidden Hills is the most unique layout in the area. Great layout.

Just realized Oak Marsh is one of the ones at Amelia Island, I'll keep that one on the to do list.

Yep. It is about an hour drive for me, but have no issue doing it. Great course and I like the Amelia area a lot. Northampton is up that way also and supposed to be a great track. I got to play Amelia National a while back, which is private and have been meaning to get to NH.

I haven't played Northampton,  Windsor Park, or Queens Harbor. Hidden Hills is the most unique layout in the area. Great layout.

Hidden hills has gone a bit downhill and for what they charge the greens are not worth it. Haven’t been there in about 2.5 months. And don’t plan on going back.

windsor parke is a great track. Perfect for the price. Some greens are great some a bit on the rougher side.

queens harbor is my favorite course in Jacksonville. Playing the blacks at 6200 and it’s tough as hell. Greens are quick and plush. Fairways are tight and greens on the smaller side. They also have some decent undulations. If you are going to pay $80 for a round do this course. Hands down a no brainer.

north Hampton is a wonderful track as well. Nothing bad to say about this course. Just being an hour away and same price as queens I will always choose queens since it’s 5 min away and always challenging.

St. John’s and south Hampton are great tracks. My rotation are these and queens harbor. Best greens hands down in the area for semi private.
