@Taylormadegack not with this driver but I have made up some in the past. For the money they are a very good driver shaft. They tend to play a tad stiff to flex. For how cheap the club pak is its worth a shot. I have one of the Tensi Blue shafts in a KE4 TC head and it's great, if not just about perfect. Felt too loose for me at first but it just works.
I have had quite a few shafts in the KE4 TC head and have yet to find a combo I couldnt game.

@Popeye64 You have me convinced to give it a go. I have been a big fan of Maltby equipment for the last few years and just put together a set of PTMs for this upcoming year.
Here is my question. I have never been fit for a driver, but want to get as close as possible. If I was fit for a SIM driver, would you say that the shaft that works in that driver would also work in the Tour TC? I live in Colorado, but am not aware of anywhere I could hit this driver ahead of time.

I've found that shafts that I feel comfortable with usually transfer to other heads as long as the heads aren't drastically different. You can adjust the loft and sole weight to get it more dialed in. The SIM driver (to me) is very low spin so if you were fit to a shaft that increased your spin some then you may see higher spin with the Tour TC head. It shouldn't be insanely different though unless you're just delivering the TC head into the ball completely different for some reason.

I have had very good if not great results using my favorite shaft in one driver head to the next. The Ke4 TC weighs 200g. I have had two heads come in so far and both weighed 199.7 Grams.

So if were you and wanted as close to the same performance as you were fit for adjust the Maltby head to the same weight.. more than likely the SIM head is a 200 g head. Dont know off hand and it didnt readily pop up on the TM site.

The Maltby head has weights readily available to go up or down. But before I did the weight swap I would install the shaft and see how it worked. Then adjust and dial in the driver.

The KE4 has just been awesome. In my next post I'll talk about a head to head with two different shafts.

I went on course and I did a head to head with a Mitsubishi Tensei Blue 65 g S flex tipped an inch. Vs. Xcaliber Superlite55 S flex tipped an inch. Tq on the Tensei is 4.5 mid launch and the Superlite55 Tq is 4.8 mid launch. At first I was launching the Xcaliber way past the Tensei and was struggling to keep from going way left with the Tensei.

Then I realized that my setup qith the Tensei had been far much different. I was using the near closed stance The Superlite55 liked an almost draw swing. The Tensei loves an open stance. Once I worked that out I continued to hit the drivers back to back out on the course. The Tensei completely took out the right hand side of the course. The Superlite55 removed the left side of the course. Actually with an open stance the Superlite55 could go way way right. Once I settled into a good swing for both drivers the Superlite55 was further but just by a few yards. Both drivers were very repeatable and I could play either. It would all come down to how a golf course would play out for a preferred playing strategy.

It just goes to show you how different two driver shafts can be yet still get the job done.

As for which one I'll play more frequently. It might be the Tensei. I seem to be more comfortable with an open stance and just left the driver RIP.

I am in the between world of S and X. Most time an X flex had added weight to it. I like the low 60 gram weighted shafts. So tipping an S flex stiffens the shaft up normally just right for me.

I have found that the Graphite Design AD DI 6X is a good fit for me but the $300+ price tag is not. I am comfortable with few other X flexes. Most X flexes are 70 gram +.

I have experimented for years on different flexes and the tipped S is good for me. But all S flexes are not the same. So for me a shaft that is on the firm side of S then tipped has me where I want.

Hey @Popeye64 talked to you on a another site and really very interested in the KE4 TC driver. Currently playing a Ping G400 Max with the R flex 55 gr. Alta shaft. I also have a Ping Tour 65 that I interchange once in a while. I get better distance with the Ping Tour 65, however, I stay in the short grass with the Alta. Could you give me some starting points with shafts and your suggestions. My SS is around 80-85 (haven't measured it in a l o n g while). Thanks

With your swingspeed and your liking the 55 gram shaft I would take a stab at the Maltby Pro Series UL shaft. It's about 47 grams in R flex. You will pick up some club head speed and it's a very stable shaft. The standard club pak shaft in R flex, is in the mid 60 gram range. That might be a bit heavy for you.

Cost wise you should be able to swap into the UL shaft with no up charge on the Pak. Worst case scenario it's a $40 shaft.

With that setup I think you will do very well.

The Sim being freaky good on mishits is exactly what I experienced as well! It's amazing. I had the Cobra King LTD and I got ideal numbers with it and it's very high MOI for how low spin it is so I haven't even looked at drivers over the past 5 years cuz I knew nothing would beat it.

I randomly hit the SIM because a guy at the store told me to. It completely blew my driver out of the water on mishits. Straighter and wayyy longer. It was crazy
