So, I won a new M1 3 iron with a Kuro Kage shaft on a larger ebay-er store for super cheap. I take it out the range couple times and love it. Third time out, one of the speed slots started to swell. I go online and see this issue is not that uncommon with the M1 irons. Since it was new i submitted a claim to TaylorMade and didn't hear back for two days. Decided to call on day three. Told them what happened ETC. He said no worries, the SIM irons don't come in 3 iron so we can bump you up to a p790 no problem. Ended up with a 2019 p970 3 iron with a Aerotech SteelFiber fc 90 cw. Came in 7 days. Great customer service!!

They’re sending me out a set of Sim Max irons to replace the caved in faces on my 2017 M2s. Very impressed with their customer service.

Why is a company making irons that have faces that cave and speed slots bulging? We are applauding the fact that they make crap clubs but will replace them quickly. Makes you wonder if those clubs are really worth $1k or actually $500 because they know they will be replacing them down the road.

I’m certainly not applauding them for that. (And I didn’t pay full price for my M2s - I can see that frustration for others but I don’t feel that aspect of this personally.) But, regardless of the original product, the customer service does a very good job of making things right. They don’t ask many questions about the original product or challenge your claim, at least in my case - they just replace it.

Taylormade doesn't make crap clubs. I think the irons with the speed slots in the face are designed for slower clubhead speed players to give them max ball speeds. I think TM knows this and has known this for multiple generations of the irons, but won't market them that way. So they just replace them as needed when someone with a higher swing speed caves one. The $1000 set of irons probably only cost TM $150, so it's not a big deal.

I will always give them an A for effort. They always try to make things right. Their customer service is great but their competence when it comes to custom specs is awful. I play over length and upright clubs. Have never gotten a set that was built long enough, usually a half inch shorter than requested and never upright enough. I've even received wedges that were supposed to be upright and measured flat a couple degrees. They always take the stuff back and try to send it back correct, but it almost never happens. The store always ends up doing the work themselves. The GM at my local shop hates TM with a passion for this reason. This is why I play Mizuno now. They always arrive dead on spec. No hassle, just get them and play.

Purchased a set of 790’s via FedEx overnight shipping. Clubs sat in Memphis for 3 days. Call TM CS just to enlighten them on Fedex service. Though not fault of theirs, they sent me a dozen TP5X for my inconvenience. Class act.

Last year had my 2016 M2 face crack on July 3rd. They were closed for the weekend or something because of July 4th holidays etc. I had a big amateur tournament on the 6th. They sent me out a brand new M5 and had a local rep drop it off. Some of the best customer service I have ever seen
