It was a trip to play a few times a year. There was also a 9 hole lit course in North Town near where @aenemated lives.

So being a person who had both colors I would chose. Blue or White. You would pick white again? What about the blue didn’t look as good? Just the color? I was leaning towards the blue. It would be nice to see them in person but can’t do that

They’re not. They both add weight to the grip end of the shaft. One model of Tour Lock allows them to be secured further down the Shaft, but that’s just increasing the total weight if the club. Might fool the swingweight scale but the club will just be heavier overall. Some players might find that works for them, but many won’t. Jack notably counterbalanced his clubs with lead tape under the grip, however I’d say he was a strong player and with limited shaft selection in his day that was just something that worked for him.

I’ve got a set of FG 17s from the late 80s. They flat out work but I’m always trying to find something that’ll be better to no avail for whatever reasons. Played a set of all hybrid style irons today and other than a few shots over a couple trees I hit, I’m not convinced they made the game easier all that much today. My misses are much more on line with the blades and on good strikes, I know what’ll I’ll get from each iron.

Just came back from a fitting. It was between the tsr2 and the 10k. The 10k just gave better number. Was fitted fit hrzdus smoke rdx red. i think the shaft provide is not a made for and it is legit, right?

So I went to the range and dialed in the 9 iron at 36". I had to put a small 1/4 inch extension on to get it to 36", I ended up trimming the insert of the extension to make it as light as I could to not affect overall weight. I ended up having to add 8.8 grams of lead tape to get it right. I went from 2 to 4 pieces of tape and then added a 5th and I thought I was doing well with I but looked down and realized the 5th pieced flew off at some point, so I figured it was settled at 4 strips. I do have a basic golfworks SW scale and its D4-D4.5 but I fear with the extension and the overall feel of the club is out-of-whack because of all the cutting and changing but maybe its just mental at this point. The overall weight of of the club is 464.9 grams, does that seem high? Is 8.8 grams added a lot of weight to make something feel good. I just worry I'm making the club too heavy and now the weight and feel is too much. If everything checks out, then I will keep moving forward with most shafts needing extensions added and a couple just trimming at the 2mm slope for the 10.7mm progression. I'll just keep the head weights changing at 6.9 grams per head, correct?

My carry bag is 4 way. My cart bag is a 6-way staff bag. I've tried the 14 slot bags and just hate them.

Over “there” there’s a very down to earth, low key, THREAD for the “60 and over”! No bickering or any BS….. maybe one could be started here somewhere., as long as it wouldn’t get sideways! It’s purely seniors and their golf game, ailments, and so on. Very good and enlightening thread. No 2 irons,🤣just ole men wishing they were young again!

I don't know if you saw my short post from a few days ago, but I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that had those experiences on the greens. I originally said "I don't know if I had a case of the Vegas Fever myself but honestly felt like putts were breaking way uphill all day, I couldn't even get close to reading them or getting the speed right. A few times I had to make an 8-9 footer to save myself the embarrassment of a 4 putt." That course has a way of making you feel like you've never putt before -- I had a couple 40-50 footers that I hit all of 15 feet and thought I crushed them. I don't know what is on those greens lol

Kidding aside, I’m more than happy to be a buck private on a scramble team, but when the captain wants to do something stupid, or worse, tell me how I should play the shot, I get insubordinate. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been ordered to layup under laughable circumstances because no one was in play. 230 to pin, 190 carry over water, wanted me to hit it 100 yards and short of the water. I’d say I’ve faced that a few dozen times. One of my favorites. ”I know you normally play a draw, but that pin is back right so you need to aim at the middle of the green and cut it toward the pin.” I think some of these people are now golfwrx members.
