Veylix Wildeye Rome 688

They're really focusing on the Xphlexxx line right now. Supposedly, Mr. Fowler loves the shaft but can't put it into play because of the naked lady graphics. So, they are working on some prototypes. JC also bought Anthem Golf and has released a series of wedges. They look very nice and the price is right. $120 retail. Also sending Brian Pavlet out as a Tour Rep. Could be some big things on the horizon for Veylix.

 

Heard he might be using it today as I saw some pics on twitter of the proto's with different graphics. Also keep in mind Xphlexxx and Veylix are different companies but they do work together in manufacturing. As for Brian Pavlet, Xphlexxx brought him on board to do tour stuff although not sure if he's out there week to week or what.

 

Anyway i'm a big fan of the Rome series especially the 988 for hybrids and more recently the 888 in a driver/fwy wood. The 70g range for drivers or fwy woods is where the Agera comes in handy as it's very similar to the Rome but has a little lower torque and a stiffer tip section. Same tech with 40ton graphite and all that tech mumbo jumbo :)

Maybe I missed it in your WITB link, but what caused you to go from the Rome 888 in the fairway to the KK Black TiNi?

Maybe I missed it in your WITB link, but what caused you to go from the Rome 888 in the fairway to the KK Black TiNi?

 

Changed heads and needed more launch plus I tested the KK Black TiNi for WRX and liked it so it was a perfect match at the time. I have since changed back to what I've always played (deeper faced wood) so it might be going back in. I want to give the KK another round or two first.

Gotten to the point that all graphite in the bag is either Veylix or Xphlexxx. 988 in both hybrids----BEST EVER, 888 in 5 wood, Agera in 3 wood and driver.

 

Just so consistent in performance and really solid thru the ball at impact!!
