Just bought this for the GF on clearance. Callaway Diablo Octane, L Flex Project X shaft.

Came out to just over $40. She had the choice between this and the TM RBZ which looked pretty cool and "matched her bag". but she swung them both and immediately liked the Callaway better. Went out Monday to the range and she is hitting twice as far as she ever has. She hits them straight every time, with the exception of hitting one nice draw.

I picked up a few things recently… KBS Tour S in my i20s had been giving me some elbow grief so I wanted to drop down to a regular CFS.. Enter the G20 irons…that led to a set of Eye2 XG wedges.. then I saw this 27* G5 fairway wood which I had to get just for fun (like a mini fairway wood!). I then bought grips, tape, sensicore for the G20s and a few other things. I need to stop now. If the elbow pain doesn't leave I'm selling it ALL for a graphite shafted set of G30s.

It's actually an "L" wood. I think G5 was the last series to have it… 3,5,7,9,L.

So it's actually a high lofted 9 wood I guess.

The odd time I see a 9 wood pop up but this must be 2nd time in ebay history I've seen a 27* Ping wood show up that wasn't in the ladies line. I love my 7 wood so much I just had to try it out. And like you said, in leftie it can be rare to find these little gems!
