Well I got a good 3 hour session in tonight. I spent Almost an hour on the range then I played two rounds, overall I'd say I probably hit around 200 balls tonight lol, I'm going to be tired tomorrow haha. I struck the ball really well tonight but the putter didn't want to cooperate much. It wasn't bad, but I missed a lot of putts I should have enough hit. I managed a 77(+5) on the first round and a 74(+2) on my second round. The second course had narrower fairways but easier greens. Overall it was a good night though

Pigs, Those SIM figures seem strange to me. You have a fast swingspeed by my standard. You know I don't claim to be any sort of golf expert or expert on golf monitor numbers but for example at a quick look:[list]

[*]a lot of rollout showing from your irons
[*]7i iron going further than your 6i
[*]Less carry than I get on some clubs and I'm a low to mid 80's driver speed. Are they all crappy range balls?

How soon can you get outdoors and at least see real flight on at least an outdoor range (and taking a few scuffed up own balls along for better judging of flight and distance)?

My new found skills are yet to be tested in the real world Bick, only on the simulator have I seen scores in the 70's. Outdoors 85is my lowest round a full size courses. I play mostly par 3 courses with the Piglet

If it's not raining tomorrow, I plan on playing. The course will be soggy, and cart path only but I'll walk, if they allow any play at all. Been about six weeks, so I'm expecting some rust, but itching to get out there.

Yeah they're all beat up old range balls that I use at the simulator. I should have used my own balls for this test. Probably still another month maybe before and real ranges open up here, we still have a lot of snow and ice with 20/30cm more coming this weekend.

For the off distances, I didn't get a good clean strike on every shot, or with any shot with a few clubs lol, I can't remember which ones now but I'm sure that played a roll. I should have hit more balls with each club for a bigger batch of results to work with but I didn't want to be to tired for playing lol. Next time I might do only a range session and get a bigger batch of data. I'm still not sure how accurate these simulators are which kind of worries me that I may be grooving bad habits without knowing I'm doing it.

That's one problem I have with mats in general. Scary when you think you have it made and then reality hits get to the course, especially when it's wetter turf. Been there, done that the few times I've been out this year. Not that I'm complaining, being able to do so compared to the rest of you folks.

Ummm... it has been 92 here the past couple days and will be 94 this weekend. If you want it, YOU CAN HAVE IT!! Personally, I would prefer a much cooler spring with more rain.

On the plus side, I have been to hit some demo clubs over the past 3 days and so far I haven't had any issues with the shoulder. I am still afraid to really go after one (ss driver is 108 so happy there, 6 iron down from 92-94 and sitting at 86-88), but there is hope now. I spoke with the local Mizuno rep (David) today and he is hosting a range demo day tomorrow and is hoping I will come out so he can try to talk me out of my driver, 3w, hybrid, and anything else NOT Mizuno. I told him as long as he's buying we can talk. He's offering a deal I cannot refuse: Buy one club at double the cost and he will throw in another one free. Something fishy about that deal, but I cannot put my finger on it.

Pigs, looking at those numbers. Maybe look @ AP1s. You need more height and spin. Try the XP 95/105 shafts, or Nippon 950s. Lighter might help with SS. Also maybe Reg. shafts? Hearing good things about the new XR series too. G25/30 maybe? Why not make the game easier?! If you want to stick with forged, 850 forged?

They have got pretty good matter there, there not even really matter. It's like one big 16"x30" bristle tee and the club can sink down into it on fat shots. It's not grass, but it's not terrible either.
