Could be, need more time with them. My MP68s never launched a ball like these. Perhaps just a learning curve with these.

Agree about MP68s. The j15 MB is probably closer to that club. The CB and its thicker sole provides a lot of launch. Also the long irons are probably 2-3 degrees stronger than your MP specs would be my guess if they are standard.

They have weird lofts

Had another range session with my CB's yesterday, and the feel when out of the middle is sensational. Off centre hits? Well you know you've hit them a little off, but feedback is great. And distance loss is surprisingly suppressed. No complaints on that front at all. I still feel the longer irons fly a touch on the low side for me. So I feel that I will be getting the lofts weakened a degree or two. Sure, I know that means more bounce, but that suits my tendency to deloft and 'squeeze' at impact very well actually, and would only make the v sole play as it should do anyway.

Now all I have to do is find a way of getting a hold of the J715 Driver, because in their infinite wisdom, Bridgestone UK have decided not to offer it to Lefties in the UK. So it looks like I'll have to order one from either Rakuten, as Greenfil are offering the J715 in LH on their Rakuten site, or maybe order one from a US retailer and suffer the ignominy of all the hassle of custom charges which will make it pretty expensive to import over. I've asked Bridgestone both in the UK and the US to help, and they won't play ball. They've simply told me to order one from TGW. Grrrrr!

I know I am going to get blasted here but do not overlook the J815. I have both and every time I put them both up against each other, the J815 wins. They are very different from each other. The main difference is feel and sound.

But I have to overlook the J815, because I'm a Lefty, and it's not available in LH ya great narna!!! Lol. Seriously though, just had a reasonable quote off Greenfil on Rakuten for a J715 LH with either a GD Tour AD MJ or Diamana B Series. Just got to do some research as to which shaft option may suit me best. As I'm coming from an Aldila Tour Green that I absolutely love. So something with the same type of feel will do the trick I'm sure. Blueboards always feel nice to me, maybe just a touch soft in the mid section, but overall, very nice, so the B Series may work pretty well. Whereas the Tour AD MJ, haven't a Mr Magoo......always hated the DI, as that always felt liek a wet noodle in an S flex for me, especially in the butt/mid section, just too soft. I'm around 105mph SS, so I'm getting pretty close to being a tweener in some flexes of some shaft profiles. But I feel the MJ would be a gamble too far, and the Diamana B Series to be closer. Guess I could always throw a Aldila Tour Green into it if I wasn't happy with the Diamana B Series anyway? :taunt:

I have a Fuel shaft, Tour ad-di 6s shaft, and a Diamana 3rd generation whiteboard shaft. Your assessment of the Tour ad-di shaft is spot on. The Fuel is what I am playing.

I tried the Fuel, way back, when they put it into the Original Nike Covert, and many people said it was a 'boardy' shaft, and whilst I agree it's at the other end of the spectrum compared to perhaps a DI of similar Flex, I didn't find it 'boardy' at all. The flex profile is firm, for sure, but at least it's consistent all the way down it's length, unlike the DI which has that double hinged profile, which just doesn't suit me well at all. And sure, the B series has a touch of that double hinge about it, it's nowhere near as pronounced as in the DI. I think that's why so many people end up fiddling around with the 'tipping' on the DI so much, they're just so desperate to get that orange/white in their hands they'll do anything to tip and fiddle with it to get it to fit them! Lol. And that's why the MJ worries me a touch.

Let me know what shaft that you decided on. It sounds like our swing profile is similar.
Could be. Of course the other option would be to simply order the standard GD 'made for' Bridgestone shaft, which would save me a packet, then just get an Aldila Tour Green retro fitted when I get it in my hands. That could end up being the best route to go anyway. Though a J715 with a new Tensei shaft sounds as sexy as hell!! :nyam:

Just stopped by page 8 to look at pics again. Man these are beautiful, I haven't heard much about them this year though. Do the faces hold up pretty well after some serious use? I'm only worried that the face with start to wear away quickly like the Callaway Apex's

Just ha an email from Bridgestone UK, to tell me that they have relented, and in spite of not officially offering the J715 Driver or Fairways in LH, but they will order a LH J715 Driver and Fairway for me, if I wanted them. So that's a bit of a result eh????

I can honestly say that since I have purchased my J15 cb's last March, I have averaged 2 rounds per week plus averaged one day for the range. Minimum 36 rounds of golf. Mine still look almost new. PM me your cell phone number and I will send you a picture of my worse one.

Let's see if this works. It's my 9 iron that I use more than any club.

I use iron covers by the way. I practice with my 9 iron in my yard at least twice a week. So you have around 300 golf balls hit with this 9 iron per week. Plus, averaging two rounds per week. I feel they have held up very well.

Also, my Note 4 camera is almost too good. These pictures made me go and look at my iron again. They are not as bad as the pictures indicate. Several scratches that you see in the pictures can not be seen by the naked eye.

Ah yes, that's another story. They will do the hybrids too, but they can only do them in LH with Steel shafts!! No, I don't know why that's the case either, and I didn't think to ask at the time because I was so c0ck-a-hoop with being told I could order the Driver and Fairways. It's not a huge issue to me, because they have relented so much with the Driver and Fairways, that I don't think it would be appropriate for me to start whining about the shaft options of the Hybrids, when I can just retro fit anyhow. Retro fitting a hybrid shaft is a small price to pay and a compromise well worth it I think.

I just want to make sure I am following you correctly. Bridgestone does not sell LH J715 woods in your country but they will allow this one exception? OR
They only make them for the Japanese market but will ship you one from Japan. OR They do not make a LH version but will make one for you because you are really Prince Harry?? Lol

Lol. Certainly not the last option there. As to the other two options, Bridgestone UK choose not to offer the J715 Woods in the UK in LH, as they 'have not had any interest in the J715 Drive in LH they do not have any in stock, so clearly there is some lucidity in their policy. However, it is something they can get a hold' should I want them to. Same story for the Fairways and Hybrids too. Now, whether that means it will be the same US spec J715 or, as Brigestone UK order their stock direct from Japan, if it's the Japanese Spec with the B3 moniker on the head that they offer for the Japanese Market, I don't know. I'm just happy they're willing to be pretty flexible over this, I consider myself to be pretty fortunate in that respect, though not privileged enough to receive any monies from the Duchy of Cornwall at this time. :fie:

Lol.. That is actually nice of Bridgestone to accommodate you. It says a lot about their customer service.
It certainly does no harm to my own opinions, and it's why I wanted to share it with all the Wrx'ers on here, because I've done my share of slating some manufacturers in the past, so I think it's equally important to share any positive experiences in the interests of balance and honesty.
