They will get the swingweight as close to standard as they can. It will depend on the shaft/grip you choose but it seems likely that they will get it in the ballpark at 1" short.

thanks i hadn't even looked at golfworks or bullybobs. thought it would be a little to early for them to have aftermarket weights.

gonna install two 11 gram front and rear and confuse the hell out of the driver. thanks again.

I was able to play 18 with the Fly Z + yesterday. I have an elements chrome 6f5T in it at 44.75 inches and set to 10 degrees. I've been playing an amp cell pro with an aldila blue 65x for the last two years and love the sound and feel of it. A very dependable driver I'm comfortable with. I started out on the range with the weight in the front with mixed results, flipped it to the back and it really started straightening out. So off to the course... The first time I hit it was on a down hill par 5, if you clear the hill it rolls out like crazy so my first drive measured 351. A good drive but more a product of the hole layout but still a nice start. A high and straight center of the face strike. For the day I hit 7 of 10 fairways with it. Good distance especially on misses and bombs when hit solid. My misses were pushes and none of the snap hooks i fight. The sound and feel will take some getting use to because it's louder than the acp and doesn't feel as good to me. The ball flight was high but penetrating, not ballooning. However it seems longer, more forgiving, spins less, and just wants to go straight so it stays in the bag for now. I plan on taking both drivers to the range soon to compare them head to head.

I've hit both the z and z plus, they are rockets off the face, i would argue they don't look similar to the biocell, the bio had a larger head, back to front and face height than the z, and the z plus is very comparable to the 915 fd

Played my fly z + today and wasnt sure on the adapter setting as I was using a shaft I had in my bio cell pro, but it sounds more hollow on mishits than the bcp and it is very low spin. Overall it setup nice but distance wise I'd say it wasn't as long as my bcp and that may have to do with the adapter setting and lower spin with the weight forward.

I finally got to hit one today on GC2 (indoors). I did a head to head vs. the G30 LS Tec, R15 430 and Vapor Pro. They didn't have a Vapor Flex. In previous testing, the R15 430 at 9.5 was leading the pack. My (now) previous driver was an SLDR 430 set at 9.5*.

-100mph driver swing speed (a dislocated shoulder and car crash back injury has cost me 8mph over the last two years of pain, so I'm not WRX long)
-Normally play a draw
-Fight high spin primarily due to a tendency to impact low on the face
-Decently straight off the tee (68% fairways)
-Prior to the SLDR I consistently played drivers at 8*-8.5* (as low as 7.5*) to get spin down
-Favorite driver of all time is the 983E
-Last drivers owned were the SLDR 430 (awesome on the screws but huge distance dispersion), PING Anser (at 8*), PING I20 (8.5*)
-Currently a 9.8 index. I've been as low as a 1.5 (20 years ago)

The Fly-Z+ set at 9* with the weight forward beat everything except the G30 LS Tec in every category (ball speed, launch, spin, carry, total, dispersion) and spun consistently 400 rpm less than the LS Tec, which was the second lowest spinning. All drivers except the Fly-Z+ were set at 9.5*. The Cobra was set at 9* (the sleeve doesn't show a 9.5* setting). That left a final showdown between these two clubs.

In carry and distance calculations, the Fly-Z+ and LS Tec were within 2 yards of each other, with the Fly-Z+ leading both on average. The Fly-Z+ averaged 2050 spin and the LS Tec averaged 2480 spin. The Fly-Z+ averaged 1* higher launch (14.9*). The LS Tec had the longest overall drive of the day by 6 yards but fell behind on average.

As a side note: I initially tested all clubs with their stock, off the shelf shafts. The Cobra easily beat every club in this part of the test. To get it closer, I had to go to a TP shaft in the R15 and the Tour shaft in the LS Tec. That spin rate for the Fly-Z+ is using the stock VLCT shaft. I have always had to go to some kind of upgraded or aftermarket shaft (and had to with the LS Tec). Not so with the Fly-Z+.

The Fly-Z+ liked to hit a tight draw. The LS Tec liked to go straight. Dispersion was equal, with the Cobra centered 5 yards left of the center line and the PING centered 5 yards right of the center line in two very tight circles.

The PING was LOUD. The Fly-Z+ felt and sounded better. Looks are subjective. I could have played either. I didn't like the sound of the PING, though.

Winner: Cobra Fly-Z+

The last thing I did was flipped the weight to the back and set it at 8.5*. Launch went up by 1*. Spin increased by about 300 rpm on average but still hit some sub-2000 shots. Ball flight changed from tight draw to dead straight. Ball speed dropped by 2 mph. Average carry dropped by 4 yards but I hit some that were equal to the weight forward setting. Overall average distance was down. My sense was that the risk of hitting a spinner increased compared to the weight forward setting, but it will require more testing. Similarly, setting the loft at 10* with the weight forward produce almost identical results but the draw flight remained.

Also, to clarify, I do not think this is a left biased club. It was drawing less than I draw my SLDR 430 and I didn't hit a single snapper left. Moving the weight back definitely changed the curvature. The ball groupings were actually pretty cool with a tight circle just left (weight forward), a tight circle on the centerline (weight back) and a tight circle just right (LS Tec) all tucked just beyond very large circles from the other clubs.

I took the Fly-Z+ straight to the range and, outdoors with the freedom to adjust my tee height, recreated a very tight and repeatable flight that *might* be a touch too high. I'll keep an eye on tee height and probably experiment with dropping the loft to 8.5* and see what happens. Indoors I was launching that setup too low and with too little spin.

I have both. I hit them with the Aldila tour green 65x and they nearly identical numbers with the weight set forward. The advantage of the Z+ is it is very forgiving!! The Z+ had a higher average balls speed out of the 10 ball test I did due to it being more forgiving it also had the longest ball out of the 2 drivers. It is a larger club head which I typically don't like but I quickly got over it after the performance of the club on the course.

I don't know much about Cobra clubs or their products. I've been hitting a variety of clubs over the last couple weeks as I was looking to move away from my Covert Tour Driver w/ regular flex. I was hitting and getting fitted yesterday and I wasn't really loving anything (not even the new Nike's). The guy comes back and hands me a plain looking club and says try this one. "What is it?" I ask. "Just give it a hit he says." So I did and it was working really nicely for me. Turns out it was the Cobra Z Fly w/ x-stiff flex. After a few more hits I brought it home with me.

I was carrying average 246, 14 launch, ball spin around 2100 as low as 1900. Has a pretty loud sound as well which I didn't notice until I got to the indoor range (pretty cold up here in Sota). It may not be the right club for you and it wasn't even on my radar until yesterday. I hit nearly everything else that has come out this year and this one gave me the tightest pants.

Hello GolfWRX! I am new to the site and this is my second post on the site:)

I recently was fitted into the Cobra Fly-Z+ driver after an indoor Trackman fitting (I used my game ball as well). I tried just about every driver the store had with a variety of shafts and, for me, the Fly-Z+ gave me the best numbers. The biggest standout for me and my swing was that the ball speed numbers and accuracy were both better on mishits than the other drivers I tried.

After reviewing the results with my fitter, I ordered one and should have this weekend:)

I am awaiting delivery of a Rogue shaft this week. I have new adapters/grips ready to go so I should have some feedback for you by early next week.

I'm not a big fan of the stock shaft so I'm going to test the tour green, stock Matrix and rogue silver. After that, my driver spot should be locked down for '15.
