He's basically fighting the sympathetic impulse with everything he is saying in addition to that. Nobody thinks he did that to himself, but he is leaving breadcrumbs pointing to the fact he may not be so innocent in all of this.

I think there is definitely more to the story and doubt the whole kidnap thing. The details would be changing due to how drunk he would've been.

I think he was just really drunk after missing the cut, falls over himself which causes the forehead gash. Passes out and gets robbed and beaten. That's my theory, case closed.

For my own amusement I'd love the hooker or drugs theory to be true.

Still waiting to hear from taxi cab driver and military man... should confirm how far taxi drive was. No taxi receipts in Hawaii? Bar tab should give us insight to how much alcohol was consumed. As far as Charade's story, while she does confirm that a taxi was taken, if she as she says, they were only a block from hotel, why was a cab taken? Why not just walk to hotel with assistance of military man as he was not in hospitalized condition?

That statement by Allenby makes no sense and is no help to his story or cause. As this woman did not see Allenby pushed out of car, she is of no threat to the gang members. This misstatement by Allenby is forgivable with the experience of getting mugged and no one believes which is in a sense, another mugging on top of the mugging. Clearly some PR on his side to atone for that statement in meeting up with Charade and giving her some cash and thanking her.

Amuse wine bar and the Kahala Resort are about 5 miles apart. So if he was a block from Amuse it would make sense to take a cab to the Kahala. Or he could have immediately contacted the police and gotten a ride from them after he reported his kidnapping, beating, and robbery.

I don't blame his story for inconsistencies about how many blocks he was away. If you don't know the area it's easy to get that wrong.

From what I've gathered through my LE circles locally, the FBI is not investigating this. The confusion is that the head of security detail for the event happens to be an FBI agent. Allenby still had his rolex on when he returned to the hotel, so they aren't thinking robbery. Police are saying his wounds are not consistent with being beat up. His face looks like curb rash from falling over. Very fishy.

Having met Mr. Allenby once, it's easy to believe someone would beat the crap out of him. He's deserving, but that probably isn't what happened.
