We talked about this last season but never got around to finalizing any plans. I wanted to get a jump start on it this year so everyone can clear their calendars.

First tee time off at 1:00 PM

$40 including cart

 

I have spoke to Management at Falcon Lakes and will be signing an agreement in order to reserve 4-5 tee times beginning at 1:00 PM for only $40 per person. I will need to have confirmation from all who wish to parcipitate by Saturday May 9, 2015. If I don't hear from you by then, they will need to release tee times that are not reserved.

 

For those who have not played Falcon Lakes, I think all will enjoy it.

 

Built in 2002 and designed by renowned golf course architect Jay Morrish, Falcon Lakes is one of the premier public courses in the Kansas City area.

 

Falcon Lakes offers a links-style layout with gracious zoysia fairways, continuous concrete cart paths, and bent grass, softly undulating greens that average over 6,000 sq. ft. in size.

 

Multiple tee decks on every hole provide a range of play from 5,200 to 7,100 yards in length, making the course a challenge to golfers of all skill levels. Falcon Lakes is always maintained to tournament conditions!

 

Black: 75.0/135

Blue: 72.5/130

White (Men): 69.5/125

White (Ladies): 75.0/132

Red: 71.0/123

 

I also believe Falcon Lakes is a great venue choice due to its nice indoor/outdoor grill and patio area. I thought it would be perfect area for the Kansas City WRX participants to gather after the rounds to have a drink and get to know the faces behind the screen names.

Is there any interest to get a couple tee times early in the morning 9-10 AM-ish?

My oldest daughter now has a Girl Scout trip that starts at 1 PM. my wife is going with her so I am left with our youngest. I could definitely have somebody watch her for a couple hours but if we tee off at 1pm I'm asking somebody to watch her for 5-6 hours and that's something I don't want to do.

If there is zero interest in doing that I completely understand, but unfortunately I'm going to have to bow out.

They might be amendable to adjusting the time, if the morning is free, but know it will be more expensive.

I'm completely ok paying more, I speak for myself in saying that though.
Would really like to come out and join everyone but need to be a daddy before all. If it's not in the cards this go around, would be nice to
create a "roster" of KC members and do a tee time request every so often. I play fridays at 1pm typically and happy to join or let anyone join. Getting the message out in a
group setting would be ideal.

I think it would be fun to do a random draw partners match play type event. That would let us higher handicappers still contribute to helping our team win. Skins and greenies would be fun too. But hell who am I kidding, I'll play pretty much anything...

With the weather turning and Daylight Savings Time, Spring golf is basically here! The KC-WRX event will be here before we know it.

Got my first "official" round in today before work... A little chilly to start and the greens are sssslllllloooowwww. But it was great to be out again.
