I went from driving a TDI getting like 45 to the gallon to a GTI running on Premium getting like 30 to the gallon. . .and I couldn't BE HAPPIER. I f'n LOVE my car.

 

You know, I actually test drove the Jetta TDI Sportwagen and the decision came down to the TDI and my current wagon. If the VW had a better ergonomics with regards to the console and seat, things might have turned out very differently.

 

I've always wanted a GTI too, maybe one day... like if there's a GTI wagon.

I loved Hell or High Water, really great. Otherwise the Oscar noms this year do nothing for me. Hidden Figures is on my list but thats about it. Movies like Manchester that I know going in are going to be depressing AF I'm trying to avoid in my life right now.

 

And although I loved The Force Awakens, I was really "meh" on Rogue One. I kept hearing how amazingly great it was and meh, it was good. Maybe I need to see it again, I dont know. Because I seem to be the only one that thought that.

 

So in mixed city driving I'm around 16 mpg. Full on city driving - IE just my 4 mile commute with stoplights - drops to @ 12-14, highway gets up to 22-25. All this 35-40 talk makes me jelly.

I loved Hell or High Water, really great.

 

And although I loved The Force Awakens, I was really "meh" on Rogue One.

 

Also loved Hell or High Water. Feel the same way about the Force Awakens and Rogue One. City and I discussed during the round on Sat. I loved TFA. Enjoyed the last 30 minutes of Rogue One, but walked out thinking it was just 'ok'. I think City enjoyed Roge One more than TFA.

I haven't seen La La Land, but I think I'm going to like it. I also think I'll like Hacksaw Ridge and Hidden Figures.

Exactly, I dont know where I would have edited it but I feel like they could have taken 10-15 minutes from the middle of the movie and smushed it together a little bit. Last 30 minutes were good though.

So I saw the 15 off 75 ebay thing and checked on a Bridgestone true balance putter. Found a mint one from global golfon sale with a make offer, made an offer of 75. It was immediately accepted, and I was pumped. Go to pay (all on my phone) and accidentally paid before applying the f****** code. Paid $75 instead of $60.

There are still a couple of "2016" movies I want to see, hopefully this weekend. Anthropoid and Deepwater Horizon. Otherwise I have to say it was a pretty slow year for great movies for me. I watched so many great TV shows on Amazon/Netflix that I think made up for it.

Pretty much the whole visit to the Rainy Planet. There was a bit of filler in there.

 

Also, there was a lot of "fluff" in the final set piece. All of a sudden, we're hooking up hoses and flipping switches? It wasn't perfect, but I liked it.

There are still a couple of "2016" movies I want to see, hopefully this weekend. Anthropoid and Deepwater Horizon. Otherwise I have to say it was a pretty slow year for great movies for me. I watched so many great TV shows on Amazon/Netflix that I think made up for it.

Great TV shows have mostly supplanted movies for me. Quality has been so good the last few years, and I still have a handful on my list of things I need to watch. Westworld was easily one of the best things I've watched on TV or in the movies in years/ever.

Great TV shows have mostly supplanted movies for me. Quality has been so good the last few years, and I still have a handful on my list of things I need to watch. Westworld was easily one of the best things I've watched on TV or in the movies in years/ever.

 

Completely agree, we have a half dozen things on our watchlists that we havent even started and a bunch of other shows that we want to get into. Like Sneaky Pete on Amazon, watched the pilot a couple weeks ago before the whole season was released, got completely sucked in.

 

Shows like Goliath are great, we watched it over a couple nights - way better than going to the movies.

 

I will say its hard for me to dvr/watch a regular series now where you arent getting 8-10-15 episodes that you can watch all at once.

Bridgestone True Balance. #hived. I think it's a great putter for certain people. If you like a counter balanced putter -- this is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE. It's all head weight. I think the swing weight is F0. No joke.

 

So much good TV these days. I've been really enjoying The Young Pope. Liked Divorce. We watched Mozart in the Jungle. The O.A.

 

And I could name 10 shows I want to watch (Narcos, all the MCU shows on 'Flix, Goliath, Sneaky Pete, Transcendental, Sense8, etc etc ) that I know I'd like except there's going to be 10 more shows coming down the pike.

I believe it, but again, I was shocked at how not weird it felt when I tried it one day. It feels pretty normal.

 

I guess it's because the lie angle is so upright, it doesn't feel as odd to have so much weight in the head of the club. Like, if you had a driver with a swing weight of F0 it would feel like you were swinging a damn sledgehammer.
