Either way I know it's going to be at least a 2 hour trip, I am mainly trying to figure out which route has less of a chance I will get stuck in a parking lot and have it turn into a 3 hour trip.

 

If you come up 270, jump off onto 355 in Rockville and take that up like you're going to Little Bennett then take Route 75 to Route 80 and hang the left. Removes all the garbage from 270's nightmare and can let you relax a bit heading to the course.

 

With guesstimating that 495 will be a joke no matter what, I would say 495 to 32 to 70 is your best bet.

 

270 going up shouldn't be bad, since all the traffic will be coming down 270. The beltway could be ugly, though. He could come around the beltway, go north up 95 and the across the InterCounty Connector (200) to 270. You need EZ Pass to pay the toll, though.

Good thought, completely spaced out about the ICC even though I used it a lot getting to Colesville and Silver Spring as a cable guy until we got bitched at by our supervisors.

If you made a par in the first round, don't mark your 10 foot bogey putt in the second round. Hit it and move along or pick it up and count it.

Just stop by Siegel on the range before the round, and start talking about how his P2 and P6 are looking out of whack. Tell him he needs to add more counter clockwise left forearm rotation from P1 to P2, and more right wrist flexion at P4 to clean up his P7. You will completely cripple his ability to play golf.
