Peer review is great if and only if you have very good reviewers that spend quite some time in reviewing your paper. Seeing one or two sentence long reviews for a 10 page paper is not a good peer review, but a peer review

Then why do so many golfers and the best of the best ones especially go to a driving range? Because if you can master the swing there, you can hit it anywhere. And who said DJ can't play the game which is actually moot point as this game continues to evolve because of the insights of many researchers who themselves weren't great players.
