Golf Channel Morning Programming on Weekend

So I'm relegated to watching a bit of the Golf Channel this Sunday morning while sipping my coffee and getting my day started instead of playing golf.

 

I'd love to be watching a replay of the PGA tournament (Quail Hollow in this case) from the day prior, but they are playing the European Tour. Seems they always run the European Tour on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

 

What do you all prefer to see on the GC on weekend mornings? Me PGA event replay.

Thanks for the typo correction corky!

I guess I'm in the minority. Since I don't generally have time midday to watch a tournament, I'd like to see a replay in the morning on Saturday and Sunday.

European golf commentary is so far ahead of N. American broadcast commentary, it is [s]almost[/s] shameful. Somewhere, somehow the networks have been convinced we want to see 4 hrs of putting mixed in with banalities from Johnny and the like.

Personally I'd rather watch a replay of the LPGA tour. Nothing like waking up and checking out some hot babes playing golf.

They're boring and difficult to understand due to the crazy accents. And the birds never stop chirping on those Euro telecasts.

European Tour. They already replay the PGA Tour coverage several times a day. Something live and different is always good.

I really enjoy the Euro tour on my weekend mornings.

1. Its live.
2. They play some very interesting and diverse courses all around the world.
3. The commentators and broadcast in general is IMO a better product.
4. Usually there at least a few players you've heard of but don't always get to see on the PGA tour broadcasts. MAJ seems to play many of the events, but there are also guys like Peter Uhlein, Brendan Grace, Victor Dubisson, Kiradech Aphibarnrat, etc.

In the age of DVRs, I'm not sure why you'd want any channel to voluntarily run replays...

There was a story a few years ago about how the TV coverage of the PGA tour used taped sounds of birds.
