Timmeh24 that Byron looks great. What's stamped on the face and what finish does it have? Carbon or stainless?
It looks like a matte blue oil finish gettin' all old, oxidized, and dirty. I think I'm one of the few that like that finish more after it "browns out" than when it's new.
Yeah, I like the way it looks. I will probably clean it up at some point but for now I kind of like seeing how the finish is changing over time.

Amazing contributions as always, Tai. A few thoughts:

Love the toolbox... but really, who doesn't?

That's one hell of a "natural habitat"

The cavity stamping on the black longneck is one of my favorites... love the look of that putter!

That darn cross has always looked funky to me, though it's a bit better on the smaller flange of an 009.

I want that plumbers neck D029 in my life! :swoon:
What else can I say? The only things you are missing, for this to be considered a real collection, are a Tory Burch box, some sprinkled tees and someone else's car.

Cheers,

Mike

Amazing putters Tai thanks for sharing. Only problem would be with so many diamond tipped golden arrows how do you pick which to use. :nyam:

Tai drops the mic and walks off...

Unreal collection! I still can't get over the Method "Proto Tai". The amount of attention that Dave Franklin gave to shaping the bumpers is amazing. They are absolutely perfect.

And don't even get me started on the stainless 009.

Agreed Josh! Wish I could find a stainless 009 like that.

Tai can you please explain the differences between a standard 009 head and the Tool Box 009 head?
In a nutshell, "tool box" heads are raw heads that Scotty has in a tool box that can only be found at the Gallery in Encinitas. They are usually raw one-off's in various configurations. The one was bought at an event I host down in Carlsbad and Scotty had the idea of how this one turned out during a round of golf. Each one is a bit different. This is a standard 009 that has a mid length neck with a little extra hand work, so not your typical 009 release. I also have a Studio Proto SSS 350g that was from the tool box as well, has a unique look to it as well.

Agreed - that ManKrafted MA/66 is outstanding. Anyone have a side by side comparison with a MA/66 and an 009 or DH89?

Thanks! I can get some side by side pictures of my MA/66 and Rats if you'd like (Super Rat and Tour Rat). The Rats are very similar to the 009 but not exact ( http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/497559-tour-rat-vs-009/ ).

That would be great rebby thanks. The rat is basically an 009 with removable weights IMO.

Thanks for the pics. That helps especially the address top line one. Looks like the MA/66 has a thicker top line than the others.

It does. That was actually the first thing that I noticed when I got my MA/66 in hand. It didn't look right to me at first but it's certainly growing on me. I'm sure that LaMont could make it narrower if it really bothered a person.

With interpretations of this putter catching on like wild fire, I thought it would be a good idea to have a place anyone can go to look at Dalehead style putters from all manufactures.

This way, anyone who is interested in this type of putter, or just cares to admire them, has a one-stop-shop, if you will. It will also be easier for people to compare and contrast the differences between models from different makers.

Please post photos of your favorite Dalehead Anser inspired putters in this thread, whether you own the putter or not. This would include:

Original Dalehead Anser

Other Ping Anser iterations

Byron Morgan DH89

Scotty Cameron 009/Newport/Tour Rat

Odyssey #1

Bettinardi BB0

Nike 006

MACHINE M10

Kari Lajosi DD201

Mannkrafted MA/66

Kingston KP1

Piretti Potenza

Kenny Giannini G1

SeeMore DB4
Plus any other putter that I failed to mention in the list above.

Let's see how many gorgeous Dalehead inspired putters we can shine the spotlight on!

Cheers,

Mike

Figured you be the one to ask,

I have been around golf long enough to know all about Ping clubs, but for some reason I just do not know why it is called the Dalehead...please do tell
