I would go well out of my way to play a round of golf with Inbee Park, and quite seriously, would not walk across the street to play a round of golf with Spiranac......Just me of course......other opinions will vary.

Totally. Inbee is my hero. I'd make plane journeys to play with her.

No interest at all in Paige.

Interesting - there are probably more than a thousand golfers on the planet who are better than Inbee (which is still really impressive) and you'd go out of your way to play with her but not someone who is ranked in the 10,000 range. Once you go below a certain number, what difference does it make if golf skill is the core determinant?

Conversely, if it's more interesting that it's a woman golfer, that's certainly an acceptable perspective but let's not kid ourselves that it's all about the skill: it's about the skill and the XX chromosomes. I'd play 10 rounds with Michelle Wie before I played one with Inbee but I'm not waiting for an invite.....

Still shaking my head from someone thinking Paige is #10,000.

Add a zero or two if it makes you happy. point still stands.

I respect Inbee Park's accomplishments....It's as simple as that.....How many golfers there are in the world that are better or worse than her have absolutely nothing to do with it.

It is not just about golf skill, Jack probably can't break 80 these days, but which of us wouldn't jump at the chance to play a round with him.

That's your problem, not mine. I'm not kidding myself at all. I watch the LPGA for the skill, of course, and because I can relate much more to the skill level in women's golf with my senior swing. I can't relate at all to the testosterone fuelled mens game - it's way above my level.

I'm also very clear that interesting women - for me - are interesting personalities. It's always the personality that comes across. I have no interest, for instance, in beauty pageants where the contestants are good at smiling and very boring indeed at talking.

And another point. Who would prefer to play a round with a male fashion model who had a useful game, rather than Henrik Stenson or Phil Mickelson or Jason Day? Figure that one out........

Michelle Wie was not one of the choices offered in the question that started this.

The question was who would you rather play a round with Inbee or Paige.

Had the question been what LPGA player would you want to play a round (or play around) with then Michelle Wie would probably make some people's list; she'd certainly be in my top 5 ;)

That's a very good question, and the answer isn't obvious. It's not about the formulaic interviews you get with winners which mostly go "I just try to have fun and play my best...". Not much to go on there.

I think it's more about the personality in motion - the look on the players face as they play, the body language... It's really hard to define. Like, for instance, why do I like to watch Inbee Park or Amy Yang or Sei Young Kim much more than Michelle Wie? Certainly not for conventional looks. That's not it. To me Michelle Wie is bland. Amy Yang is "interesting". There's just something likeable and charismatic about certain people. It's like pop singers - the popular ones just have some kind of charisma. You want to know what they do with their lives, you look them up on Wiki.... It's that "X-Factor" that makes people want to know more about who they really are.

But I have to hold my hand up and confess that Sandra Gal in motion just makes my knees go weak - those legs..... There's always exceptions to rules.

My guess is that PS' game is quite relatable to your senior swing unless you are somewhere between Inbee and PS but much closer to Inbee.

She may not float either one of our boats but PS has a high Q score which is clearly related to charisma. Same thing with Michelle Wie, Tiger, who move the needle while others with better current golfing abilities don't.

If we're focused on European LPGA players, I favor the full package of Belen Mozo over the great legs of Sandra Gal but respect your perspective.

I'd be indifferent between the two as they're both better than me but nowhere near the best player with whom I've played. Maybe I'd lean toward Inbee because she's Korean but I'm pretty sure it would be more fun to play with PS.

I watched Inbee in person as she carved up the 2015 KPMGWPGAC. I was so impressed but it's not that easy to explain it in words. The personal qualities that we tend to associate with good golf and low scores... she has them in spades. Every golfer on the planet can learn something by watching Inbee Park. Ask Adam Scott. Adam Scott has said that he sometimes thinks of Inbee Park's swing while he's out on the course. Adam Scott. That makes her slightly more interesting than a Paige Spiranac in my worthless opinion.

I'll say this for the thread subject. She probably has the longest non fashion thread in the LPGA sub forum.

It's turning into quite a long thread on Inbee Park!

A much more worthwhile subject.

Who were the sponsors invitees? Did they make the cut?

Natyalie Gilbis and amateur Hannah O'Sullivan both go whom missed the cut and have had far greater golf careers than Spirinac.

O'Sullivan is 17 and has already won on the Symetra Tour. Paige can't get there.
