I'd ask Discount Dans to beat it and am confident they would judging by my T-MB quote.

But I'd also encourage people to keep actual quotes off of here. It has the potential to recoil on retailers who do offer customers great pricing.

Titleist are extremely strict about online pricing, which is why you never, ever, ever see them online. Not a criticism for you posting, just saying I've seen threads before where this kind of thing has gone a bit wrong for the retailer. They can get punished for offering great deals.

EDIT: Just use DM for numbers instead... ;)

It looks like the CB's are the model that grabbing the most attention in some respects. Pity that Titleist have made a mistake in there being a lack of coverage of that model, I've heard stories of no CB's in a fair few Demo Carts, none to hit at Demo Days, and even the big box stores being left out of the loop of CB's to see. Even stories of the CB's being back-ordered for Pre-orders.

Nothing new in a new product launch I hear some say, but specifically, does anyone know of what the update is on the current dearth of CB and even MB stock and the inability of being able to fulfil orders for launch?

The Golfsmith I went to last night only had the new AP1 and 2. I wasn't impressed by the AP2 but I had high expectations for it. Signed up for one of those free 30 minute fitting sessions by Titleist and I'm looking forward to trying the CB and T-MB.

I don't know what it would take for me to switch from my s55 but I would have to be wowed to consider it. I've always wanted Titleist irons but each time I've looked at getting new irons something has always performed better than them. I do want that to change at some point haha.

No CB's in demo cart where I was fitted last week.... :(
Oh dear, this isn't good. Only AP1 and AP2 in my Fitters Demo cart too. Kind of difficult to be fitted for any product that you can't hit? I appreciate that the whole range isn't even officially launched yet, and that this isn't uncommon or specific to Titleist, but to be fair, they have had 2 years between releases to get this right, and the odd teething issue is to be expected and should be accounted for, but this is starting to sound a little more widespread than originally thought. As I said, lets hope they can get this sorted by official launch date eh?

Lucked up and found a fitter here in Kentucky with all of the 716 demo heads, including a T-MB 7i. I would guess the regional fitting centers have full demo carts.

Interested to hear if anyone has decided to go with standard Dynamic Golds over the AMTs. I demo'd and ordered AP2s today, and while I didn't have anything against the AMTs, the numbers/flight were so spot on with the standard X100s there was no reason to go with anything else.
I haven't tried the 716's yet, but I do anticipate likely sticking with DG s300 unless I am really surprised by the results with the AMT's. I feel the heavier swing weight smooths out my swing, and I'm not particularly looking for higher launch than I already have with the longer irons.

Most pros have switched to the AMT version, good enough reason for me. The only real difference will show in the longer irons- being able to generate more swing speed.

Just got back from my Pro/Fitter. Unfortunately he wasn't sent any CB's or MB's for his Demo kit, no T-MB either. So was only able to hit the AP1 and AP2. AP1 has a more squat head heel to toes than the 714, far more appealing to the eye. Wasn't fond of the feel, felt a little springy off the face to the extent that I felt that I lost all connection in terms of feel with the club. Pity, because I feel the looks flattered a little. As for the AP2's the results for me were better. Though I was getting a very high ball flight with them, maybe a touch too much spin too, but nothing drastic. My old favourite, KBS Tour gave me this very high flight, so I tried the AMT which brought the ball flight down a touch, but I hated the feel of the AMT. ( I've never been a Dynamic Golf guy) I think strengthening the lofts a tad with the AP2's would benefit me. But I wasn't blown away by the AP2's. Sure, they're a decent offering as you would expect, but I felt the 714 AP2's actually felt slightly better off the face, and found the 716's to feel, dare I say it, a touch 'clicky'. Mind you, to be fair, I was hitting range balls, so I'm not going to criticize the feel too much, as with a softer golf ball, I'm sure the feel would be slightly improved. I think the one thing that was a worry for me, was that I was getting a slight over draw with the AP2's, which is something I didn't notice in the 714 AP2's, but that could have been just me on the day, either way, I'm comforted that if that is the case, the fact I've already pre-ordered the CB/MB, and the reduced offset of those two heads, which in theory should help straighten out that over-draw that the 716 AP2's were giving me.

As mentioned I've already pre ordered a CB/MB combo set, but with a AP1 #4 iron, but think I'll change that #4 iron to a T-MB instead, as I wasn't a fan of the AP1. Also, judging by the AP2's high flight, I think I'll get the lofts strengthened on the CB/MB's a degree to, hopefully have a more controlled ballflight and shave a few rpm off if I can.

Pity Titleist sent out such an incomplete Demo kit, with only the AP1 and AP2 heads and the only steel shafts to try were KBS Tour, DG AMT and PX 6.0, but they have told my Pro that they should have the CB's/MB's for him by launch. But by the time he gets them, it's more likely that my pre-order will have already been delivered anyway.

I really wanted to like the T-MB more, but it didn't really impress me. Visually it is more appealing. I didn't find it any more or less easy to hit than the AP2. I didn't spend as much time with it as I would have liked. Possibly another shaft option would have changed its appeal for me.

Agree with above. 714 and 716 are very similar. I loved the TMB long irons. Getting the 4 iron in my set.

I am open minded but I just can't see how increased speed could come without sacrificing control. One of the qualities of DG shafts I like over project x and kbs is that slightly heavier weight. I know long irons should launch high, but I like a piercing trajectory with enough spin to stop the ball on the green. To the launch monitor....

I think you'll do just fine. I really liked the feel, I hit the 7, 3, 2 irons. I hit these indoors at a Titleist Fitting Center, so I can't comment on trajectory other than what the Flightscope was showing, but I don't trust them 100%. From what I saw, they were very good, they were flying almost exactly what I wanted them to but were about 5 yards short in carry of the CB's. I'm not looking for max distance out of an iron, but they did seem to go a bit lower than the CB, but again, tough for me to tell indoors. They felt and looked great! They were actually one of the most intriguing sets IMHO. The CB is definitely the most improved in my opinion, I thought they were an improvement over the 714 across the board. My thoughts would be to go full bag T-MB or a T-MB 2 irons and then CB/MB combo set.

I like the looks, but I'd need to get them on the course to see for sure. They seem marginally better, but it's a lot closer than the 714/716CB difference. At the price point for AP2's, I'd probably hit both outdoors to see if it's worth the $$.
