WoW, I talked to Mitch on the phone last night for 3 hours and 2 minutes, lol, from 1:28am to 4:30am

Talk about sundowners, lmao

Enjoyed the hell out him

I believe you RP if you're talking about Mitchell. I read in another thread
that he knows and has played with John Maginnes. I was gonna chime in
there since I've listened to John on the radio since about 2006, lol, never
met him but feel like I know him.

Anyway, John is a fun lovin' guy and laughs A LOT on the radio and Mitch
strikes me as a very serious guy. I've sort of chalked it up to the line of
work he is in and all the awful stuff he encounters.

Please tell me Mitch laughed a lot on the phone. He can't be serious ALL
the time, lol.

I remember being in the "What makes Ping so great' thread many months
ago...and the thread was off the tracks and we were behaving like children
as usual......and Mitch posts something about us all behaving like children.

Yep, guilty as charged. I hope you made him laugh, bro. :D
Rad, if I may, what makes Pings so great?
Ya have to read the thread bro but since I think you posted in it I'm
sure you already have.

It's the thread the long lost Chuck_22046 alter ego "shanksfornuthin"
started. I think the title was more like "What's the big deal about Ping?"
LOL. He was overwhelmed reading all the Ping Love Threads on WRX
and had to ask why all the Ping love. :D

Anyway, I know your question is a smart a** :D question so here comes
my smart a** :Dpatent pending answer;

Ping is great because they are great. Here is proof:

Calc made 9 birdies in a row with Ping clubs. Easy Peasy. :shok:
I love it when people ask us Pingsters a question like this because we always have a cop out answer.... admittedly it's usually something like "Well, they just are" or "If I have to tell you, you wouldn't understand"... both of which mean "I have no clue, and I just like saying I have Ping's so I can act snobby" hahaha...
well for me, what's so great about Pings is............. uhm........... well.............after 50 years of playing golf, they are really nice forgiving clubs, yes, that's it, forgiving"...
"why do you need forgiving clubs after 50 years of playing?"... "what was that?"... "Why do you need forgiving clubs after 50 years of playing?".... so, anyway...they're really great.... so you see?
Oh, and more proof, along with what Conrad said, one time, Lee Westwood hit this 5 iron from off the fairway, it landed right on the green, it was a Ping iron, Ping!

Following up on what Richard posted, definitely enjoyed speaking with him, of course being on Hawaii time, wasn't as late into morning for me :) Richard is indeed how he comes across on the boards and definitely entertaining to swap a few stories without filter this place provides. Personally, have a lot of acquaintances and a very select core group of friends, based upon interaction with Richard so far, consider him a welcome addition to core group.

About the get-together, might be a height/weight requirement to get in, can you picture size of that cut-out like they have for roller coasters?
If not that, maybe Richard could create an "assertiveness" screening, although screening name could probably be shortened a few letters, if needed!

Aloha for now,
Mitch

Well Mitch, we've moved over to the new thread "Tenth Confessions" if you
care to join us. We come in all shapes and sizes but I think we all have brains
about the same size and would pass an "assertiveness" test, LMAO though
all are gentlemen.......who often act like children.

I'm only 5'10" 170, so a comparative runt, LMAO.....and I have no game either
for the record.

If you have any stories about Maginnes I'd like to hear them. If I had the time
I would have tried to make the trek for the "On Tap Invitationals" he, Brian
Katreck and Matt Adams have held over the last 3-4 years. Just can't make
it happen and now they're pretty much booked up every year.

Hey folks,

Just passing through, locking the thread in "my content".

I have a whole lot on my plate at this time. My priorities have taken a sharp turn. I have very little time for myself at the end of the day. Doing my most to hang in there.

My Precious had a bad drop in Her condition, and the specialists are having a hard time stabilizing it.

We now have, along with the Geronto-Psychiatrist, a Nephrologist, another Neurologist, a Cardiologist and a Diabetes Specialist.

If we add an Ergo-Therapist and a Social Worker, well, you guessed it: My plate is full :cheesy:

But I Do have the Golf Channel and Here to keep my head above water.

No Golf in 2015, but I have two brand new Ping Glide wedges in the bag...But I didn't stay at the Hollyday Inn. :secret::rofl:
