BB1 Tiki

Saw this teaser post on Bettinardi instragram and thought it looked sick. I know the BB28 raw limited release was very popular. But I'm personally partial to the BB1 classic style and love Hawaii so if any limited release is for me, this is it. Anyone know any additional details on this? (Pics, release date, etc). Thanks boys.

I didn't see anything on the website about the upcoming release. That being said, I can assume they will make about 100 pieces. I love the detail work on the neck, and can't wait to see the finished product. I'd love some more Info!

Think all the limited releases will be carbon. Just guessing, but that way they don't poach the signature series or studio custom's and mess with the product cycles or timing.

Really love the idea of the limited releases. Accessible price point, limited number, and very unique finish/features.

I love that it's carbon too. A great little niche for them.

Bettinardi has been criticized in the past, but this is something really special in today's market. 100% milled in the USA. Well played my friends.

You can bet your bottom dollar tbe price isn't "good". To a collector, it may be worth it.

Price is always relative. The last one the Msrp was $450. Not cheap, but for a custom collectible item from a top tier putter designer, seems very "good". Even some stock oem drivers and putters run in that range.

I think $450 is pretty good for a putter of that caliber. Especially if they keep the runs below 200 pieces, that's pretty cool.

Alright boys. Sorry was a bit busy with travel and the holidays. But I have been looking for more info on this. While I was put in Seattle I stopped in a Puetz and was talking putters to an employee and brought up the tiki. And lo and behold, he had a sell sheet for it.

 

$450, releasing 1/15/16, and a "Texas tea" finish. Love the style and it's definitely a bit different from what I expected

I think the tiki men are awesome. That price is unbeliable as well, how many usually are realeased to these dealers? Also is that the only opportunity to purchase the putter?

The limited run putters that have come out of studio B are great. Popular head styles, unique finishes, and super limited in comparison to other manufactures that produce 1000 or more.

True in a sense. I'm sure we could custom do this through Tour Stock...but would need to be a BB0 and would cost over 3x as much! lol.

 

Really is sad, I wanted that one bad for my collection!

Does any manufacturer make a limited run in lefty? Cameron did once on a Napa that I recall but they are not as limited as 100 piece runs like bettinardi is doing.

The first Bettinardi I bought was a BB1-H. It's basically just a BB-1 at 360 grams. That cost $500.00 in 2000, 16 years ago. So this seems priced pretty good to me. Great milling!

I just saw the putter. They are all truly unique in their own way. Pictures do it absolutely NO justice. They roll amazing too. I made almost everything I looked at. I spent almost a whole hour with it and it only got better...I ended up picking one up from my fitter. I will post pics tomorrow :)

I just seen it as well. Pretty nice. Its really loud. $450 isn't that expensive for a putter. Most personal club in your bag. You'll hit it more than most people hit their $450 driver. You don't sell putters like this.
