I just got some X-Blade 905 in a really good condition. Shafted with Nippon 950 WF (ascending weight model). Just need to put on new grips.

 

Love me some Tourstage (RIP brand name!). Firmer feeling than Miura and Mizuno forgings but not clicky whatsoever in my experience.  Denser feeling than Titleist forgings as well.

Yea, 909 are on my list to get next if I can find a set in good condition. Then maybe some Yamaha MBs?

Not an easy task as I think the 909 was a limited production model.  So many JDM blades out there to covet!

There were few when I was browsing last night... Unfortunately for my wallet I came across different model of X-Blades and bought those instead. I'll post them when they get here. In the mean time, someone freeze all my accounts lol

Wanted to add something like a 3 or 4 iron to my PRGR 01 set. Last year I was playing Yonex CB702 #4 and heel to toe length is pretty compact for a game improvement. Also wanted something that was same brand. Got this new PRGR 03 5 iron which is 21* LOL

 

Left is 01, middle 03, and right is Yonex. Pic looks weird because 03 is bigger than 01 by far.

I took some better comparisons pics at address in case anyone's interested. I hope I can get 200yds with it. Anything longer than 7 iron, I feel like my yardage gaps shrink quite a lot 😄

Callaway X Forged Star Irons. JDM only. Modus 105 S shafts. These are designed to play lighter and with slightly stronger loft (around 2* stronger). Great feeling irons, Modus 105S has been my go to shaft the last couple years. And the stronger loft doesn't hurt at all. 😎

How come they were received poorly? They look ok to me. Do they have ungodly amount of offset or ugly neck transition?

Nice- have played a set of those in 2-8 with tourstage xblade 909 in 9,pw quite a bit- you should enjoy those.

Good choice.  The higher lofted irons, especially the SW get to looking a bit strange.  It's typical of JDM irons of that era where the size and offset actually increased as you got into the shorter clubs which is reverse of most iron sets today.

I'm amazed how many old irons from Japan have no browning on the faces. Either golfers there take a very good care of their clubs or just don't play that much? Either way works for me as long as I can buy those old classics for cheap!

I think it was because they weren't a solid forging. Epon inserted a gel into the cavity under the club face. That's pretty common now, but Epon fans preferred the feel of one piece Endo forged irons. I think they feel as good as anything I've ever hit and much better than current hollow designs like PXG and P-770s.

Those MP55s are nice!   I gamed 54s for years, might be my favorite iron ever.  I came very close to picking up a set of Yoro MP-66 to replace them...

The MP-66 Yoro grind are gorgeous, I did look at those but wanted the back channel for that little extra forgiveness on the long irons.

 

I also have the MP-54/MP-4 and they are amazing, I'd say they're softer than the MP-55.

My other X-Blades finally got here after being lost on the way. I like these more than 905 I think. They're in great shape and were less than 120 bucks!
