how's the 120 TX?

 

Very, very stable shaft that still has just a bit of good feel to it. I play C-Taper 130X and this 120TX felt a tad stiffer with a little lower launch/spin on the simulator. I would definitely consider them in my next set of irons.

Are you ready to forward on? Or did you already? We only have 3 signed up for 120TX so no big rush, just wondering. And good feeback. Haven't seen too many comparisons to CTaper 130X. Good to know spin/launch lower.

Sorry, didn't get it shafted up. Totally forgot about it honestly, shafted up an MT7x yesterday. I'll work on it this week. Try to get to the range again this week as the MT hadn't fully cured when I got to the range yesterday.

Mark- hope this post OK if not please lmk. From another Nippon thread on here I was sent a 120x Modus 7 iron to try out. I just realized I still have it when I went to pull the full set I bought. Ok to add shaft only to this testing community?. Also, these aren't working for me at all, felt a bit high and spinny + can’t flight them as well as I'd like and were rather short for me in identical heads (6I =90ss, outdated mizuno #s are 4143). For those interested, they will be on BST shortly. I am back to my trusty x100ss2x, yet not giving up! Would love to be added to the list for testing out either the 125x or 130s. Ideas on which might be best for me to try first?

I already have two 120X irons, 1 out in a 6i and 1 7i at home still. If you play X100 ssx2 you should either try 125X ssx1 or 125S hsx1.

I play the clevelands CB with KBS tour 90...looking to buy the 754 srixons with the Nippon shaft, What would you say is a good comparison?

 

I would love to try the Cleveland CB's Don't think I could play X shaft.

Is this thing still going on? Just stumbled across it, one of the coolest ideas I've even seen on WRX, that is why it is such a great community, not many places to find this many golf nerds in one place willing to make something like this happen. If it is still going on I'd love to be put on the list, always wanted to try these shafts but its hard to find demo clubs to try out at the store. I've liked the fit of X100 ss1x in the past and currently liking the KBS Tour S+ (I think they're act from you OneTime16 haha)

I think it's still going on but it's been a bit quiet lately. Don't know if shafts have been moving along and people haven't had a chance to review or just haven't had a chance to hit them yet. Looking forward to trying some modus for the first time!

Thanks. I updated the list. Have 105X shafted in a Mizuno MP58? It as a tiny tiny cavity, think that's too unforgiving for the trial?
