Thanks. I updated the list. Have 105X shafted in a Mizuno MP58? It as a tiny tiny cavity, think that's too unforgiving for the trial?

Playoffbeard23 I added you. Please PM eddiebigeddie for the 120X.

Hey Mark...you can remove me from the 105X trial.

I have a X flex set of Prototype ST that are sitting in my office.

For the rest of you...I'll be selling this Prototype ST set very soon...so PM me if interested.

Hey Mark, can you please add me to the 125S/Apex 6i? The MP64 on the 125X was not a good fit for me, so want to try a more user friendly clubhead to test with.

Review: Tour 120X w/ 6i Callaway forged 2009

Went out to the range today to test this shaft against my KBS Tour S+ in Adams CMB 6i. First shot was so pure I thought I needed to drop everything and go find a set of these Cally 2009 irons! Keep in mind a storm was rolling in so all shot were hit into a strong head wind. I think this was a great test for this shaft because that is one of the toughest shots to hit with it balooning. I had no such thing occur, the shaft performed great, it was a bit higher ball flight than the KBS Tour but much softer feeling. These things are butter. I was surprised to see that these launched high for me especially with a 6i because this should be the lowest launching of the series. I was also able to flight some shots into the wind as well and it had a great penetrating ball flight when I needed to knock once down into the wind. Even though they felt softer than the KBS Tour it seemed like the side spin was mitigated on big draws compared to what I'm used to with the KBS. The dispersion was excellent especially into a strong head wind.

Pro: Feel was amazing, very very smooth, I wasn't sure if I even needed and X but they didn't feel boardy at all.

-Able to flight it down when needed

-Tighter dispersion on higher spinning draws and fades

Cons: Besides that they cost an arm and a leg I don't really have many bad things to say, I'm interested to see how the 130X compares. I wasn't on a monitor so can't know for sure but the eye test said they launched a bit too high which I was surprised about.

Any update on who is getting this 120X next/where the 125 and 130 are at? I'd like to try all 3?

If you thought 120X was around correct flex I'd highly recommend the 130S not the 130X. 130x Will be rebar.

Mark, what would you recommend if I'm loving ctaper X?

Thats a tough call, depends what you want. Slighty softer in your hands but still firm and mildly boardy 120TX maybe. If you think CTaper X is too stiff and maybe a tad lighter but as described earlier, then the 120X maybe.

If you want the same solid feel but slightly higher launch then maybe 130X.

If you want more kick with a smoother feel then maybe 125X. Depends which direction you want to go away from CTaper IMO.

Awesome thanks. I'll stick with the 120tx first and go from there. May need to shoot mumuland a note to see how it's going but my wife seems to think dash 2 is coming early so might not be worth it! Thanks again for doing this!
