I am going to list my 8.5 blk/wht ST Jordans on the BST and the bay later on (worn 27 holes, mint). I am going to swap for the IX's, just for the sake of being waterproof.

When I opened these I was reminded of that b boy style of dressing them up with a pair of jeans. I haven't gotten to try them on because I'm working 12-hour night shifts until later in the week so no joy until the weekend, but I'm REALLY digging the look. Even my wife had a positive reaction when she first saw them and she never does that.

Same question. Hows the sizing? True to size?

The VI and the Trainer ST fit varied for me.

Jordan VI's basketball shoes were .5 large for me, but .5 small in golf shoes. Also had to exchange the Trainer ST's for a half size larger.

to me,, the sizing is pretty true to nike.. I like the look,, but the thing that bothers me is the lacing system. there is no resistence when pulling the laces tight. they just loosen as soon as I start try and pull the next lace tighter.

Adidas has a good lacing system, when I pull one set and move onto the next, the laces stay locked in place. these just move freely in the eye lets..

"One pull" lacing system was one of the key design feature when the original IX first came out.

I understand,, but "one" pull on these still doesn't tighten the laces furthest away very good

I just wore my black ix's for the first time today. They are very easy to get on, which is not always the case for me. I have 8 pairs of Jordan golf shoes (FR's, vi's, ST's and ix's - all in both available colors) and these are the most comfortable. To be fair I haven't worn my ST's yet.

 

The lacing system is nice but it is tough to get the lower laces to tighten evenly with the upper section. It's not a big deal but I did notice it.

 

Again these are crazy comfy!

The one thing I do not understand is why use the same sole on all of these shoes besides cost cutting? it takes away a lot of what makes these shoes distinct.

 

They could never make a jordan v and put that sole on it.

 

Even these ix's; the black ones look reasonable since the sole blends in, but the white ones lose the distinct pillars of the nines. and why no jordan symbol on the side? If you are going to charge the same coin as you do for a shoe you develop from scratch, it would be nice if it felt like that is what you were getting. Just my opinion.

I just sold my ST's on e-bay to someone in Japan (can they not order on NDC)? I had worn them for 2 rounds.

 

I am really tempted to grab these in white, but I am not sure I would even wear them over the Premiere's.

 

I can grab that other range crew in Carbon and finish of my MP5's with a new 5 iron from TGC for $50 less than these shoes. They do look good though.

It's not tbe base itself I take issue with them reusing. It is just the details on the side of the sole I wish they would make more distinct. That side heel jump man is part of the 9. No big deal in the end. They seem to sell like hot cakes anyway.

Ugghh.. after a lot of thought, I'm sending mine back. :vava: In person they look really cool, just don't like the way they feel when I swing in them. Thought I could get over the mid top, but hate the way they hit my ankles and look really clunky for golf shoes. Bummer, but I have 4 pairs of golf Jordan's and don't wear any but the grey Flight Runners. Tried to make them work, just not a good golf shoe for me.

Yeah, they look SICK as a normal basketball shoe. Just not at all a golf shoe for me. Picked up the UA Drive Ones, probably a better bet for me (just wish they were Nikes!).

That's why we get opinions and it's good yours is humble. *wink* I grew up on all of the original J's and loved these as bball shoes but they are ugly as golf shoes for me. But, that's just my humble opinion too! Jordan STs all day!!!

Yes that would be ideal.. Really don't understand why NDC doesn't ship to Canada. Anyways was really after the white/black pair but could go with the red/black pair as well. I'll see what I can do here shortly and may give you a message. I appreciate the offer!

From what I've been told, Jordan brand will roll out two to three new pairs of golf shoes each year in limited release. It is possible that there could be a yearly full release show as well. The Nike rep I know said that he thinks Nike is exploring Jordan brand to be the long term replacement of the TW line. That's his guess though and not based on anything official.
