Great stuff everyone! Been lurking for a while it seems....

 

 

Skullshot, I didn't say it sooner but Happy Belated Birthday!

 

Matt, sweet pickup in the M1, I'm sure it'll workout fine for you, give the shaft a try I think you'll be fine.

 

PD (Peanuts Diddy) I have been working on "connectifying" my golf swing the last 2 years (geez 2 years LOL) here at home. I wouldn't call my swing compact, but it's definitely a lot more connected. I'll see how it fares when a golf ball gets in the way.

 

MC, I think of my swing like this. Everything turns back together, everything turns through together but I think of the club moving me, which I know I move the club but it's just helps me keep my swing "swinging" instead of "hitting". Also lately, besides doing some drills, I've gone back to making swings with my eyes closed. I used to hit 7 irons like that, and just making swings with my eyes closed was very eye opening :taunt: I highly recommend it, you'll really feel what your body is doing, and you'll get you weight shift and balance back. At least it works for me.

Real quick on the swing change thing...

 

 

Yes, playing and making a change is very difficult, you will almost 100% percent revert back to your usual swing. Because of my situation I've been able to actually tweak my swing. Taking the ball out of the equation, using a mirror, and doing it slow. The fastest way to make a swing change is at home, with a mirror IMHO. I like to take backswings and stop, then look in the mirror and see if it's where I want it to be, rinse and repeat.

 

 

 

EDIT: I really can't wait to play golf, but also I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to play golf with ALL of you guys, someday. And Bandon......I would fork out the coin for that trip, definitely #2 on my list of dream golf. #1 would be Royal Melbourne.

I agree. I worked on making 9 o'clock (probably 10:30 actually ;) ) swings today with 7i and 8i. When I go back a little slower I can stop where I want. I can always stop where I want going slow in a mirror. Lol. I just need to keep feeling it so I can give it some speed.

That's the thing with doing dry swings, it's like exercise, you won't get buff going to the gym a couple times, it takes reps, lots of them before the results show. You'll get there "buff" Broskee, just keep doing it! The speed will come back once your brain gets used to the new movement.

Dude actually bailed on the M1. Yesterday he sent me an email that he had a better offer, but was going to honor mine since we had talked and I had sent the money. Then today I got a refund stating that he was wrong and someone else had sent their money first.

 

Whatever, I wasn't 100% stoked on that shaft.

 

Now, I'm eyeing these Miyazaki shafts on Ebay. Seem reasonably priced and LOTS of options.

He hit an M2 2 iron 308 off the tee on 18 today. That's disgusting!!!!
