I think Tiger had a setback this spring around the time of his swing clinic. He was progressing nicely, showing videos, hitting driver, and putting on clinics. Then suddenly, he dunks 3 balls in the drink and looks rough compared to his previous stuff.

 

I think he was hoping to play this year but had a setback and is hush hush about it. I haven't seen or heard of him swinging a club since this spring..

This is speculation on my part. I would think Nike wants to go after some big names this year with CS going a different direction. Why not wait until they have a chance to sign some more athletes and get their input? Or... It seems like the guys really like the Vapor Pros.

 

DJ and Jason Day rumours were talked about yesterday. Looks like their an accurate rumour according to the rep..

 

IF they got one, much less both, holy crap.. that changes things. But I highly doubt it, just my opinion. Don't see TM giving them up I guess.

 

Would love to see DJ in the swoosh, or even Day for that matter, A top american player is what nike is missing!

I dont think the Rory deal quite panned out the way they wanted.

Rory, Koepka, Finau, DJ, and Day would be an impressive stable, especially off the tee.

 

I would also have to bank on PXG grabbing one of the big guns soon as well.

 

I don't know why, but I could really see DJ @ PXG. Just seems to fit.

Agreed...most everyone I've heard talk about the Vapor Pro Combos were really positive. I think the drivers were good. I bought the Flex 440 when Dick's had them for under 200 bucks. Was honestly expecting it to be blah but was really surprised by the performance. Probably one of the longer drivers I've hit and has made it into the bag. I was thinking about adding a Pro since it dropped to 149 bucks, but I dont want to upset the Flex and have it go crazy on me. Maybe I'll just wait and see what Nike comes up for replacing the blades.

It's a great driver. It did take me a while to get used to the sound/feel of the RZN head. It has a VERY muted sound and imo, it's difficult at times to see if you hit one dead center, but I will say that I've hit this driver further in average distance than others I've played. Maybe becuase of the muted feel/sound I may have lower expectations of where my ball would be but I would always be surprised to see how far I actually hit it. If you have clubs to trade in, I would definitely get one especially at 149 bucks. Too good of a deal right now.

It's a great driver. It did take me a while to get used to the sound/feel of the RZN head.
