Any price drops on the Vapor Pro (blades)?

 

All the irons have sold well, so i doubt we see any rapid price drops anytime soon. Plus, I believe the vapor fly iron line is sticking around for 2017. Driver/Fairway/Hybrids are the ones that didnt (goofy blue paint scheme turned a lot of people off, apparently the new line is going back to black).

 

Agreed...most everyone I've heard talk about the Vapor Pro Combos were really positive. I think the drivers were good. I bought the Flex 440 when Dick's had them for under 200 bucks. Was honestly expecting it to be blah but was really surprised by the performance. Probably one of the longer drivers I've hit and has made it into the bag. I was thinking about adding a Pro since it dropped to 149 bucks, but I dont want to upset the Flex and have it go crazy on me. Maybe I'll just wait and see what Nike comes up for replacing the blades.

All I'm saying I hope there's an small update in tech also, not just color, I love the VFP driver and 3 wood (like the 3fwy even better) the only thing I could think to improve is MAYBE a lil

More hotness off the face. I mean literally can't hit it any better the club/shaft combo is straight fire. Sound, feel, everything is good.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the tech in the Flex becomes more predominant throughout the line, it's pretty advanced and different compared to what most club makers are doing. But, that's just a wild guess, someone with more insider info would have to drop hints on what their plans are.

This year's flex is noticeably better. It's not even close in my opinion.

 

I had last year's pro, and this year's kicked it out of the bag. I'm hitting it further than I was last year by a club or so. And they improved the feel from good to great.

Most everything listed was listed earlier this week. After this weekend eBay will plummet.

I would get the current line if I were you. First of all, I love the color and the performance. Second, you don't know how long it will take for the new line to come out. Lastly, when the new line comes out, if you do like it better, you could probably trade in the Vapor Fly and get most of your money back.

How many Michael Jordan's have come around since the original MJ? Nike has signed how many "Rory Mcilroy's" since 1985 to large shoe deals in the NBA?

Why does Nike have to have a big US star right now - when the market is global? As I recall, doesn't most of all large shoe companies growth opportunities start outside of the US?

Interested to see the actual numbers of growth to see how it's all really playing out. They definitely seem to have a lot of momentum right now.

Golf is not basketball - I get it...however: money is still money, contracts are still contracts, business is business. Nike and other companies don't find their MJ and shut off the valve. They sign Rory Mcilroy's, Kevin Durant's (mind you these are in the discussion/conversation of world's best all around in their respective sports) - they keep pushing. They already know that KD will never be MJ - but they pay because there is value. I can imagine the same people that are talking about being disappointed with the money spent on Rory also don't see value in the latest NBA contracts. Market value. CTC.

It's not a difficult concept. Kids growing up right now aren't going to be thinking of Tiger and MJ. They're trying to play like the Rory's and Lebron/KDs of the world. Kids come into my store (factory outlet) every day and don't even know what Js are but they want to wear the Lebrons and KDs. These kids are going to grow up wearing Nike because their favorite players wear Nike. It's the whole reason I (and most of my buddies) wear Nike, because it's associated with being elite.

I bought a Vapor Fly Pro with D+ 70X this morning after getting the email from PGA that it was discounted. It is a great head and if I put my gamer shaft in it would probably be dead even with my M2. Wondering about the flex now, I doubt the Fly Pro is making the bag since taking the time to swap tips and whatnot would net me virtually the same results I already have. Wish I had bought this first, much prefer Nike to Tmag.
