Rural highway miles my friend.

At night we flip the lights off to see if any cross path traffic is coming. If it’s dark. Roll on. 🤣.  Did I say that out loud ?  Truthfully that was 20 years ago. There’s too many cars now.  And a 4 way stop every 3 seconds.  So no point.

Your time has come my good man! Throw on the trainers and your jorts and hit the pavement! 20 minute daily run to start, you prolly can’t do 2 miles I bet 🤣

*just needling ya, but it’s definitely past due you get some cardio going ; )

Thanks for playing your part, guys. 😂

I live about 20 miles from Auburn University but........................Roll Tide!!

Anyway, Congrats on the Golf Natty. So cool. A bunch of my friends are Auburn fans

so we tolerate each other in good humor.

Actually, I'm from SoCal originally though I've lived in Bama for 20 years now.

Hey, small world. What brought you to this neck of the woods?

I’ll have  you to know I didn’t even wear  Jean shorts when they were cool , back when they had the rolled up cuffs on the bottom.  Or before that when  you cut them off above the pockets 🤣.  I’m strictly a magnum pi short guy.  An inseam around 7-8 inches ….

I’ve recently received the same challenge from the kid.  Guess it’s time.   He’s finally old enough so that I can train him in the way of the samurai 🧐…. 🤣Who am I kidding. He made the all state team this year for the 800m.  As a sophomore.  There’s around 60 kids selected from all events for that team.  For the whole state.  He’s well on his way.

I have decided to lace my shoes back up though.  I have enough fight left to push him some after I get my feet back under me.  Friday is the first day he doesn’t have a training session this week.  So he will run a short 10-15 min shakedown with me.  he laughs at me.  But I’ve told him. I remember the feeling.  And he’s in trouble if I feel it again.     I’ll report my pains on Friday sometime.  I’m personally looking forward to that speed bump I know it will bring with a golf club.  Nobody has ever played with me in shape.

Ha! I didn’t think you actually wear jorts. I just call all shorts…”jorts”, I’ll tell wife she wearin jorts 🤣 it’s a funny word!

Awesome to hear and great you’re taking it slow with a short run to start. 👍

It dawned on us one day that we could live anywhere in the continental 48 so we put

a map on the wall and threw darts and Alabama won.

Amazing how well it's turned out.

There really is a good slice of life to be found here in the state if you're in the right area.

At various junctures I've had plans in the works to move to various places across the county, something just always worked out for me to stay and keep plugging along here. At the very least, there are far worse places for me to be than Auburn.

This town gave me an upbringing, three degrees, and a wife...maybe I owe it something. 😂

One of those mornings when I'm annoyingly feeling about 90%. Either be sick or don't be; none of this in between crap.

And no, it's not due to any celebratory partying last night, though I did try to convince Mrs. RoverTiger to go down to Toomer's Corner with me. 😂

In viewing the live webcam at Toomer's Corner it appears there are work crews removing a lot of toilet paper from trees. Must have been in celebration of the Auburn University golf team.

Quite a few guys on the PGAT dip. LOL like I tell smokers you burn yours up and I chew mine up except the occasional cigar on the golf course.

Actually I am surprised there hasn't been an out cry from the Holier than thou non smokers, I don't smoke around kids mine or others for obvious reasons.

But if it happens in passing oh well, we boomers seem to have survived for the most part and our parents smoked in the car with the windows up.

Just to quantify my position (always wanted to work that word into something, probably not correct) my mom did die of cancer so I get it, it is bad for everyone to be around.

I first saw it on one of my UK golf feeds. They are having a field day with it.

I was thinking she must have cut loose a hot greasy fart while signing autographs so I

clicked on it to hear the audio. Oh well, now I at least know what ripping a heater means.

I knew as soon as I saw it. Of course I was around some UK guys back in the Mini Tour days. I also have a sometimes scramble partner who was born and raised in the UK and has lived here some 35 years now, So I am familiar with the "British Lingo" and dry humor.

The modern UK name for cigarettes now is "Lung Darts" They used to have another name for cigs back in the day but these days that name is NOT PC. I cannot say it on here because it may violate forum rules

I dipped Copenhagen and chewed Red Man plug for several years. Until med school, when someone finally convinced me, with a few head and neck cancer pics, that maybe it wasn’t a good idea.

Sometimes still miss it. Like a good cigarette with a whiskey. Stopped that too, a long time ago.   The cigs that is.

Ya me Copenhagen and Red Man too for baseball ️

Man, I was never a big cig smoker but used to love smoking when drinking or after a meal.

Or actually with a meal! Omg remember smoking at restaurants! That was dope!
