I am in within the 100 mile radius and having grown up in the shadows of the company that claims to be "the ball" I would love to see how the ball that changed "that ball" is made, thanks!!!

Wow, I'm from there (well, Springfield, which is right next door)! Grew up playing Chicopee Country Club, a Geoffrey Cornish design. Great public course! Western MA has many great courses, including several Donald Ross designs.

Live in the South now but will be back up that way in early October, so count me in.

I'm just a touch over 100 miles away (118 to be exact according to google maps), but I can cruise out the Mass Pike to Chicopee no problem! I've been very tempted by the Chrome Soft, especially this year's version. I haven't hit it yet, last year's version was a bit too short for me vs ProV1X. I would love to see how these balls are made!

I just started playing the Chrome Soft after years of playing a ProV1x. I am amazed by the soft feel and control around the greens that this ball offers. I would love to learn about what makes it behave the way it does. Being able to see this ball in production and learn more about Callaway's new SoftFast core and other technology that is being used would be quite the experience to say the least.

What? I love surprises. Especially special ones. Count me in.

I'm also a huge fan of the 16 seasons of "How Its Made" on the Science Channel, a huge fan of golf related activities on a Tuesday, a huge fan of rounds of golf on Wednesdays, and I absolutely love breakfast.

I also love the Chrome Soft golf ball (in all colors and color schemes, but not all shapes, unfortunately).

How do I sign up?

To apply you MUST be:

  • a GolfWRX member - I am a golfWRX member, how handy is that?
  • live within 100 miles of Chicopee, MA - I live in Foxborough, MA. If I take i-90 West, its 102 miles, bummer......but wait! Thanks to trusty google maps and my inherently sneaky nature, I would hop on I-495 first, cutting the trip to 89.2 miles. Qualified!
  • willing to drive (round trip) to the golf ball plant. Foregone conclusion. Vacation day booked from work and permission even secured from the wife after I painted the kid's bedroom over the last week. Half the folks on this forum know their wife is going to veto this trip. I play the long game and build up a reserve of brownie points with the good lady for precisely this sort of eventuality. A strategic thinker is clearly needed for this trip.
  • In a post below, state why you want to see how Callaway Makes The Ball That Changed The Ball - Because I love the Callaway Chrome soft. Especially the Truvis. The ball is a great ball, low spin off the tee and high for approach. And the Truvis gives me a great end-over-end pattern that lets me know I have struck a putt well without having to spend hours marking up my balls or buying a special tool for marking. Yeah, I'm looking at you, Dave Peltz (https://www.pelzgolf.com/dave_pelz_golf_pro_shop/_PelzLearningAids.aspx?aid=14). And I'll bring the 400 balls I've collected this season, including mint pro v1's and others that I refuse to even put into play in practice rounds because they just don't match up. We can blow them up like the Bartman ball! I also think that having someone born and having lived for 30+ years in Scotland will lend a degree of history, dignity, gravitas and authenticity to the event. And I'll wear a kilt. I'm serious.

Would love to attend. Have played multiple versions of Callaway balls over the years including ChromeSoft.

Definitely want to see mfgring after seeing the usga test callway balls. Have enjoyed the tech evolution of the golf ball.

Can stay nearby in ct w/ relatives or drive from home.

I live within 100 miles (around 75) of Chicopee, MA and would love to see how they make their golf balls. Mainly because I work in the plastics industry and always wondered exactly how they make golf balls, although I think I have had an idea already. I have played ProV1's and many other golf balls and have heard nothing but good things about the Chrome Softs.
