Would prefer the laser, as it gives me more options on what I'm going to get distances to and I really don't like to have something on my wrist when I'm playing.

I prefer the Nexus laser rangefinder over and GPS unit. The avidly to shoot distances of any obstacle makes it a better choice for me. Rangefinders also seem to speedy pay rounds where GPS slows things down.

I'd love the laser finder personally. I can't wear any jewelry (rings, watch, etc) while I play so the laser finder would be the perfect accessory and the missing piece to my bag! I have a GPS app on my phone but I don't really trust it as other apps tend to be 5-10 yards different in their readings.

I think I would go for the rangefinder.

I don't care for wearing a wristwatch while I play golf, so I might not like this style of GPS either.

My bro-in-law loves his GPS, but it is a handheld device. He likes it because it also includes a diagram of the hole layout.

 

Plus, my eyesight has worsened over the past two years. I've had to go from a digital watch to one with hands on the face for my casual watch.

I might have to take reading glasses out of my pocket every time I wanted to read the GPS, depending on how big the writing is.

 

So the rangefinder would likely work better for me. Plus, that Nexus Rangefinder just looks like it would work well for me.

GPS golf band! I've been using a rangefinder and a band would ideally suit my needs. I currently let a friend borrow my rangefinder...1 month later he hasn't returned it to me. A band wouldn't leave my side on the course, and that makes me feel like it is worth the investment.

I prefer a range finder. It allows you to shoot distances you would never think you needed, haha. On a serious note I use it off the course when I need to dial in wedge distances real quick at the park.

The Nexus Laser Rangefinder would be my choice. I have a gps already. I think the range finder would make it easier to get other distances to things like hazards, the end of the fairway and distances on the range.

I would definitely benefit from the Precision Pro Band. I am mostly playing from other fairways and behind trees and that makes it difficult to use my rangefinder....lol. Will also help me with yardages of how far not.to hit it (like over the back of green). Great giveaway!!!!

GPS Arm Band

 

I've been using a range finder for a little over a year and while it's useful I think quickly glancing down and having yardages would make for better decision making. Especially if there is visible slope on the putting surface!

I preference the laser range finder because I like to have the ability to measure distances both on the course, and when I'm at the range. I also find that when I'm bouncing around to various courses around town, especially when I go for a low dollar twilight round at a less desirable discount course, or a par 3 course, the GPS isn't always ready with those distances. The laser is the full proof, always ready option, and I would love to give this specific model a spin.

My game would most benefit with the Laser Rangefinder. They're more difficult to lose than a smaller GPS device, more reliable (sometimes GPS has difficulty picking up satellites), and I can obtain distances to objects not govered by most basic GPS devices. Want to know the distance to that tree? Shoot it with your laser. Got a dogleg with a water carry? I can get carry distances to various points on the hazard. Got a two tier green and you don't know the pin position? You get the picture.

I would like a laser. I already have a GPS and like it a lot for general distances and mapping out a hole but I could really use a laser since my depth perception is going awry and having an exact distance to the pin would really help my approach shots.

A laser rangefinder would provide more help to me. I already use a GPS app (Hole19) on my iPhone, which works fine, but I would like to have the additional advantage of zeroing in on specific targets and locations.

I would like the range finder. I had one before and it was such a good practice tool. Sadly someone wanted it more than me and I have no clue who that someone is. The laser would really benefit me at my new course since I don't know how far anything is, plus the funds for golf purchases now buy diapers.

Id love the GPS. I generally just aim for the middle of the green so getting a quick FCB yardage is key.
