I don't believe 7 MPH in ball speed is 15 additional yards - 7 MPH clubhead speed is.

each mph in ballspeed is 2.7 avg yard gain...

If that were true then Pro's with 175mph ball speed would be hitting the ball 472 yds. It's club head speed, not ball speed.

If the swing speed remains static, then every MPH gain in ballspeed is a 2.7 yard gain, due to better smash factor usually. Cannot just take Ball speed and multiply by 2.7 yards...not the same. In this drivers case the ball speed is increasing due to new tech at the same swing speed.

Is this a fact now? Please explain because it's been well discussed how Trackman under-reports club speed. Not saying it can't be happening, but I haven't yet heard/seen anyone proof this by accurately measuring both club head and ball speed in a comparison vs whatever "old tech" they'd been using. In addition, considering USGA restrictions, it just seems more reasonable the ball speed gains are from Boeing than Jailbreak.

XR16 had Boeing tech. No major ballspeed gains there over the competition. Or over the XR15 for that matter.

Ok... the XR16 could be evidence against Boeing tech. However, even if this were the case, it's still just evidence against Boeing and not proof in support of Jailbreak.

No use beating this stiff old horse though. Just waiting for some real club-head data but getting tired of holding my breath! :bad:

Didn't the Boeing tec start in the XR15? It doesn't have near the lines/ridges on the sole but it has the same/similar ridges on the top line as the xr16.

The Golf Digest rating system needs a major overhaul... it's just a waste of time to list 12 different clubs and indicate that 8-10 of them are gold and the rest are silver....it's really nothing more than worthless marketing material.

A few years back I saw online where it showed every club tested and the ones that missed the cut. All the major oems got in with a random Yonex, Tour Edge or Wishon club to make it look legit.

I was watching a newer Mark Crossfield video today and even he referenced their ratings as pointless and giving gold to anyway who spends enough advertising dollars with them. Other than enjoying the pretty pictures you can move along as their is nothing to see there. Oh, and perhaps the comments by some of the handicappers. Though I am sure those are cherry picked also.
