With all this talk about these TS60 Proto's I can't believe no club ho on this board bought one and cut it about 12" from the tip to find out if the Tini runs that high.

It's weird that the butt sticker is almost identical to the TX except for 1 letter which is the Flex designation. It also has the nice hologram sticker on the butt as well.

Not questioning, just curious........Mitsu has a record of confusion on specs even on their website where I've seen shaft profiles change characteristics when the new model releases.

It's the same shaft as the silver tini, and NOT an XT profile like the TX flex. Straight from the Mitsubishi Tour rep's mouth. They do not use this shaft on the PGA Tour. It is, presumably a LPGA/Champions profile. As for stickers, they are all members of the silver tini family, and has been said many times, the single and only designating feature of the XT profile is TX flex. I know some wish they could get the XT for $100 but be realistic, and that's not.

Can anyone compare spin and launch with the XT Prototype (70TX) Kuro Kage to the HZRDUS T1100?

There is huge amount of information along with trackman numbers from a variety of swingspeeds and swing types here:

http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/1488288-big-bad-low-spin-shaft-review-13-shafts-7-players-and-a-trackman/

I have tested and played them both and had a different experience as I found the DC 70TX to be lower spinning and launching than the T1100 75 6.5 for my swing. Which seems to be an outlier compared to all other data and experiences I have seen.

Whatever it is, the Silver TiNi proto TS 60 is one helluva shaft. I knew in about 3 swings that this one was special. Awesome feel yet very stable and produces ideal ball flights in my Epic SZ. Flex-wise the TS is perfect for me as I'm usually an S/X tweener anyway with SS in the 107-109 range.

I explained exactly what it is. A slightly tighter version of the dual core silver Tini stiff flex. And yes, for guys that don't need the ultra low spin of the XT, it's still a very nice golf shaft and very smooth with relatively low spin. If it suits you, you'd be hard pressed to find a better golf shaft.

I find the dual core XT spins pretty darn close to t1100 as well, but the T1100 endangers the life of anything under 15 feet for the first 40 yards of ball flight.

Thank you for all the good info! Can you describe the profile of this shaft in terms of flex and balance points as I'd love to know for future reference. This is a real winner for me coming from an AD TO 60S that was way too soft. I like to hit a fade with a draw swing (from the inside) by just rotating through it aggressively and this shaft allows me to do just that without fear of the left miss like the AD TP. Ball flight is perfect...relatively high but very flat.

I just recently picked up a TS 60 Proto off the bay after reading all these great reviews, along with the insight and other article from Toll. Been having great success with the original KK Silver (non-TINI) 60 for a couple seasons now. Can't wait to grip this one up and see/feel the improvements. To be fair, though, I didn't think the original KK was as harsh as others seem to think on here. Maybe it's because I was swinging the S, not X flex, and also the fact that I have a lovely feeling driver head to begin with (F6+ with about 6 grams of cotton in the head). Hoping to get on the range tonight or tomororrow!

It really is exactly the same profile as the Dual Core Silver Tini.

Ok, what shaft is this? The good one or just a standard? I'm confused?

This is the original Kuro Kage XT. Predecessor to the DUal Core TX flex.

Anybody have experience with the KK DC TiNi 70S? I was fitted into the 60S and thought that's what I ordered, but got my driver today and looks like I was given the 70S.

The driver is a ping G400 LST. I'm coming from a G30 with Tour80 shaft so I figure the 70 I got may be ok?

Other than weight, you probably won't notice much if anything.

Thanks, I won’t pretend I could feel a 10g weight difference, was just concerned it may spin more. I’m a pretty high spin with driver already so that would not be good.

I got fitted for this thru PING at kierland in AZ, and my fitter for some reason only used trackman for a couple swings. This shaft (or at least the 60g version) performed awesome I thought, feel and dispersion wise, just hope it wasn’t spinning too high.

Any insight as to why the 60g version is mid launch, and the 70g is mid high (s flex)?

I'm a big fan of .3 TS series and I think the Tour Spec 6S pro 2.0 looks like a good fit for me pairing it with my M3 440.

Perfect weight at 68 grams right in my sweet spot, thanks for the chance to test out a great new Fuji Release!!!

If anything, fitters will go up in weight to decrease spin and launch. You are looking at kick point of the shaft, not launch. The higher the kick, the lower the launch and spin in theory.

Ohhh ok, duh. New to this stuff but that makes sense, not sure why I was thinking launch. Appreciate your insight.

Correct. I have two of them myself and I confirmed this number. And to clarify slightly, that shaft is the "final" version, not technically a prototype, which actually had no text other than the word "prototype" over the white/black graphics. The shaft did have a limited production but simply never saw a wide public release.

If you have the one that you posted a picture of back on the 20th, then you have the Dual Core TX. The "premium" low launching Kuro Kage shafts and their OEM counterparts break down like this in terms of timeline (it's a bit confusing, heads up!). Mid 2013 - The first Kuro Kage "TiNi" Prototype appears. These were laser etched with "Proto TiNi 2013"and were an all black ion finished prototype that would go on to become the Kuro Kage XM (mid launch/spin shaft) that saw an aftermarket release with the XT a few years later.Late 2013 - The first OEM Kuro Kage shaft called the "Kuro Kage Silver TiNi" with its white/silver/black graphics is released and features 8" of the titanium/nickel wire in the outer section of the shaft tip. This is a weaker version of your typical "Whiteboard" profile and is more of a mid launch shaft as a result. Around the same time, a prototype appears that is visually identical except for the "XTS" laser etched below the logo. This was a premium material prototype version that McIlroy immediately put in play and has used pretty much ever since. A strong Whiteboard profile that featured a longer 13" section of the TiNi wire, this time on the inner core of the shaft which made it stiffer/stronger. This is the same shaft that Mcilroy, Day, Scott, Fleetwood, and others are still using today (Garcia used until 2019) and would later go on to see a full retail release as the premium aftermarket Kuro Kage XT. Mid/Late 2015 - The Kuro Kage XT and XM get a full retail release as final versions of these previous prototypes featuring fancier graphics and ion finishes. Both Fleetwood and Garcia are seen with both the XT and original XTS prototypes. Mid 2016 - A follow up to these original TiNi based shafts appears as the Kuro Kage Silver TiNi Dual Core following the same blueprint as before; a cheaper OEM version and a premium material tour only prototype version (your shaft). This shaft is based on the same profile as the XT and has the TiNi wire in both the inner AND outer layers of the tip. At this point however, the flex designation "TX" has started to become mainstream and the premium Dual Core prototypes are labeled this way instead of the laser etchings from the previous XTS prototypes. Sergio wins the Masters with this shaft in his driver and the older 80XTS in his fairways. However it never ends up seeing a full retail release and stays "tour only". Early 2018 - The Kuro Kage XD ends up being released as the official successor to the XT and is a premium only shaft with no OEM counterpart. It also follows the same XT profile blueprint but features a stiffer butt and midsection. An extremely stable shaft using the same Dual Core TiNi layout.

I think that about covers it, let me know if you have any questions! ?
