I just pulled up the scorecard and Tee 2 is 6,968 and Tee 3 is 6,528. Everyone OK playing Tee 2? 6500 is pretty short, especially for a pretty open track like this one.

If they have a combo setup I would be willing to do that also if people would prefer.

Can always play two boxes and calculate course / tee handicaps off that... not that we need to make this so complicated.

I think we're going to have to play different tees. l

Are we all playing the same tees? The tips look to be about 7500 yards which might be a struggle for some (myself included)

Yes, we'll all play the same tees. They won't be the tips, don't worry. Something in the 6800+- range is probably best for everyone.

Doesn't seem like you'll be pulling driver very often!

Joel, I’ll play from wherever you guys tell me to. The difference between 6968 and 6528 won’t change my game or attitude. I’m there to make friends, have a few laughs, enjoy the course and have a beer after. If you insist on playing golf, I’ll do that too.

Tee #2 should be fine for all I would think.

I am open for any game type and yardage. Heck I will pull driver on a 4500 yard course

Whatever is fun for all.

I am riding this time as I know those last few holes were a biotch earlier this year. Was feeling great walking until I think it was the uphill 14 par 5. The last 4 holes did not end well score wise....granted it is as near out that day!

What time people thinking of showing up?

Looks like we still need handicap info for 3 people...

How do we want to group the foursomes? Joel, I assume you want to play with your +1 as do I ( just found out it is his birthday that day, so guess I have to buy him a beer)

I'm going to go off in the last group so I can make sure I have scorecards ready for everyone. Yeah, Jeremiah will play with me in the last group (he's my old superintendent, practically walking distance from his course.) I would prefer to play with people I haven't met yet.

If anyone has a preference on which time you go off you should post it here so we can figure that out.

I'm planning on being there pretty early, 8:15 or so. That way I can take my time, collect money, do scorecards, then shake hands and kiss babies :).

Edit: are we walking or riding? If walking I'm going to have to push cart mafia out there as I do not own a carry bag anymore

Riding is a must for me. My knees and ankles can’t take walking more than 10 or 11 holes.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I would guess that Jeremiah will be riding since he plays for free. You're not kidding though, 11-13 is a brutal part of the walk for the second half of the round.

I'll bring Louise. She'll even caddy for you from her stroller. Nominal tips in milk are all that's needed.

Alright, you sold me on riding...I imagine golf is less fun if you drop dead mid-round. I do remember there being some elevation on that course. But it's going to be like playing a new course for the most part. I think that last time I played it, my cell phone was a Motorola StarTAC. (It's sad that I can remember things like that, and pretty much every golf shot I ever hit....but I couldn't for the life of me tell you what I had for lunch on Friday)

Lol, probably not. There are 3 or 4 par 4's where I could hit driver but most will definitely be less-than. It's fine by me, I'll need to make many birdies to have a shot on the team side.

And so it begins...

LOL..... Indeed it does

I listed "any" on the tee time to help be flexible.

We did a big extended family reunion trip to Kiawah in the mid-80s (long before they were even thinking about building The Ocean Course). I'm pretty sure this was the last time I was able to play golf with my grandmother before she passed away. That area is so nice; back then, it definitely wasn't as fancy as it is now.

On a different note.... this thread is killing me :slow_en:

Its such a good deal. Who is DOWN LOL

How often do you make it to mesquite? Love golfing there. Even considered buying a condo.

Been there many times. Wolf Creek and Conestoga are both excellent. Some reason though a bit tricked up I really like Wolf Creek. Think it is the visual aspect.

Guys, I added a tee time column on the sheet. If you have a preference, fill it out with what you want unless a time is already full.

I picked 9:50, I can’t wait to see the look on Joel’s face when he watches my buddy Tucker putt. I call him stabby mcstaberson
