Cant help but wonder just how accurate it can be if its that small. Tried a sc200 against a Trackman last year and it was a joke. Wasn't expecting it to be perfect or anything but to be 20-30 yards off both ways... Pretty sure I can eyeball it closer than that.

I really wish this is better since I'd love to have one but I'm gonna need at least some sort of accuracy from it and not just as a fun toy

 

Must have changed them. I had an SC100 that was only useable on a comparative basis, not absolute numbers. But the SC200 I got a month ago is very close (especially if you match the loft to the club you are using) to 2 different trackman units at 2 different ranges I have tried. Ball speed and Distance are well within 2% on ball speed and + - 5 yards on distances over 200 yards. At one range where they had just redone all their distances with surveying equipment (as opposed to laser finders with moving hands), the SC200 is almost spot on for the target greens under 175 to 85 yards.. Part of the reason I have no regrets of canceling my MEVO preorder. Another example of where they were in the development process is they had no chance of delivering the week of 4/10 if the just submitted the app. to apple on Monday the 17th. Interesting they don't talk about the play store where getting an app. approved is much less difficult.

 

I got my SC200 in on Monday and trying to find reasons not to like it but so far its been really good. Don't really care for the Garmin Nuvi lady voice but the numbers match the laser. It is a step up from my ES12 since I don't need my SSR to see what my club head speed is and don't need my phone out. I would like to think the Mevo is another step up but I don't really care anymore. League play has started, I'm playing well, the new ProV1 is phenomenal, My Jackpot Johnny is making birdies from everywhere, Tour V's are throwing darts and my new Rogue Silvers are hitting frozen ropes. Mevo buzzkill cant kill my vibe anymore!

I would be wary of purchasing . March release date and now they say May? Sounds like some issues to me. I would wait before purchasing . Is it a production problem or a problem with the accuracy of the unit. No information from website and that scares me.

If the unit fails to deliver i'll be falling back on Amex's purchase protection. The Flightscope 3 day return period with restocking doesn't seem sufficient for a possibly lacking product...

When May rolls around and they then say June I would suggest cancelling that order . The scary part is no info on website . Zero . If it was a delay in production wouldn't you think they would say so ? I inquired about unit 2 weeks ago and their sales team said if I order today it would be a 3 week wait and that the first units were shipping in 3 -5 days . They're like CNN , fake news .

I think the unit is flawed and they are trying to correct problems which is all well and good but then they shouldn't be taking pre orders . Release it when it's ready and working properly and it will sell if it's worth it .

I'm getting concerned here. Called up a few days ago and was told that the Mevo is the most accurate in its price category. Which makes me wonder, isn't it the only item in its price range? And aren't all the others around the range sorta inaccurate? Really hope flightscope doesn't ruin its name on this one...

What's wrong with taking pre-orders? It just means that when it does get released you get the first dibs.

It was supposed to be released 2 months ago . So they take your money with a pre order than don't release item for 3-6 months after promised release date ? That's shady .

Also telling customers it's shipping in 3 Days but there is a 3 week wait so u better order today. Shady .

I wonder if Flightscope is having problems with the Doppler radar system. The way I understand it their products have always been camera based not Doppler. I was told that by a retailer. Don't know if that is true as I've never used a flightscope product.

I know no one has got their hands on this thing yet, but does anybody know if it gives you height (apex height) of the shot? It seems like it should be able to since you can put in Ball Speed, Vertical Launch, and Back Spin into the Flightscope optimizer and it will calculate Height, Time, and Carry, so I would think the Mevo would be able to calculate the same thing since it measures Ball Speed, Vertical Launch, and Back Spin (with dot).

They haven't mentioned anything about height up to this point so I doubt it. With a sticker and entering in club angles I think this think is capable of estimating or measuring more than what's listed. But they probably will keep this thing bare bones. Mainly due to the next model they sell is much more expensive. Extra features just canabalize those sales. Only if a competitor releases a similar priced device with extra features will it open the door for more features I think.

It sure looks like they never had a functioning prototype from the beginning. The stuff in the "screen shots" should have been completed before they even put up the pre order. The question remains what the heck are they shipping people in the first and continuing shipments if the app. appears to be in the beta testing phase. Plus what about the whooey of submitting it to the app. store while they are still working on it. It will be a shame if to get the data posted in the screen shot you need to stick metal dots on range balls. You know if those dots mess up the newer range servants the owners will be looking for MEVO units to ban them..

I got my email and this blows away the app for the Ernest ES14. This is clearly worth the wait. Once we get ours, the Debbie Downers on this thread are going to be jealous. I am really going to like that the ball is not going to have to be hit from a specific location like the ES14 and Skytrak. It is going to work like the more expensive launch monitors where you just set the unit behind where you are hitting.
