I haven't got my free membership yet, but I did do the 30-day free trial and didn't care much for the app. If someone would like my membership (whenever they come in) PM me and I'll be glad to let another WRX'er try it out. All I ask is that you go try the 30 day trial first and make sure you are going to like it so that whoever I give my membership to will actually use it for the year and it won't go to waste.

It does work, however the major draw back is that it will detect your practice swing as a shot. Therefore, after each hole (or round) you need to go back an manually edit the shots. For example, say a Par 4 is the box I'm on... Take 2 warm up swings, my actual swing... then a warm up swing and real 2nd shot, then hopefully either a chip on, or a putt (which isn't detected). Overall on that hole it will have me down as taking about 6, maybe 7 shots, even though I really took 2 scoring swings. After the hole I manually delete out those shots and fill in the correct info. Kind of a hassle to do.

 

BUT I do find the statistical tools extremely useful. 18 birdies will track your score, putts, GIR and FIR but it won't give you SG in any area and a lot of the other stats this software does.

 

For $50 a year I think it's worth getting the SG gained stats done for you if you are looking to really see where you need to improve your game. It' just a bit of extra work to get there.
