The heat has a lot to do with it. You won't see a major here because by the time the US Open or PGA rolls around it's 100+

 

I've been saying for years that the PGA Championship should be moved to late September. August is just too brutal in the south and southeast. That would bring Texas into play.

 

 

Been talk about moving The Players back to March during the Florida swing, and playing the PGA in May.

I think the comments about Jordan a year or two ago were based somewhat on hope that he would be one of the big names of the future, although I think he is a bit too mental for his own good. Rahm seems to have some attitude and confidence like Patrick Reed yet maybe a bit more overall skill and power. He doesn't seem to get intimidated at all, and when I see him and Dustin walking side-by-side they seem to have pretty much the same physique.

A couple of yrs ago at Riviera I saw a drive hit (I can't remember who was, but was a smaller player in stature) and CBS was using a tracker that said how far the ball went as it was moving. The drive went 199, and finished at 300. He got 101 yards of ROLL.
