Best 3 wood shaft currently in the market

looking for some shaft recommendation for a 3 wood. i want something similar to matrix xcon7 which is high launch/low spin that is on my tm burner superfast 2.0. right now im looking at atmos blue and tensei ck pro blue. anything else thats out there even a mid launch/low spin? i have both v-steel and s-yard xv heads that are ready to be built. thanks

If you want high launch, I personally like the AD DI 8 in my 3 and 5 woods because I am a low ball hitter. I do have an AD TP in my driver though which is more mid launch low spin. I have read some great reviews on the AD TP 8 in 3 woods as well. But I'm a big fan of graphite design as they fit my game well.

I put a Tour Blue in play earlier in the year for my 3 wood and I love it. Plus it's very inexpensive.

Just me personally, but I didn't mind the DI 7 in driver as it was active enough to get some pop out of, but generally didn't hit it that well. I had either low spin or high spin and distance was very inconsistent. I tried a few setups in tipping and what not but could not get it dialed in. I think many people would find success with the DI7 in driver over the DI6.

 

Having said that, I went with a DI 8 after also having a DI 7 in my 3 wood and for me, it is night and day different. Without having info on your specs, you may want to tip it the standard .5" but I did the full 1". I swing my 3 wood about 103-105 and really like the DI 8 in my 3 and 5 woods. It's never "too high" but it's got a good flight for both tee and fairway.

I play a Kuro Kage Silver TiNi in my driver and all woods. 60g stiff in driver and 70g stiff in woods. I just have better control with this shaft than any other I tested. I was fit into as well, and have had great results with them ever since. Nice high ball flight and plenty of carry.

More mid-launch, but I really like the Rip Beta in 70 & 80 and the og Speeder 757 & 896. Great shafts for short money. A win win if I ever saw one!

It's mid launch low spin in my opinion. Best 3w shaft for a power player on the market by far.

I second this. TollBros turned me on to the Tensei Pro White in the 3w after putting the Pro Orange V2 in my driver. I really like the feel and ball flight with the Pro White and don't have any trouble getting it in the air with my TS 14* SLDR.

I would think it would launch and spin alittle higher than pro white. A lot of people say white tie is new version of xcon

Can't go wrong with a whiteboard. I play the 70 D+ in my subzero fairway. Absolute rocket launcher. But,I'm partial to the whiteboard shaft. Used them since the flowerband models.

White Tie isn't in the same category as Tensei Pro White. As far as feel, performance, or quality of materials.

 

What you want depends on your budget. I see you play PXG Irons so I'm sure a $300 shaft isn't going to chase you away.

 

Tensei Pro White (if you want mid-launch + low spin) or Tensei Pro Blue (if you want mid/high-launch + medium spin).

 

Not shockingly most everyone is just going to come here telling you the shaft they play is the best shaft for a 3-wood, but I feel very strongly (plus it's supported by a lot of testing) that Pro White and Pro Blue are in a league of their own when it comes to fairway wood shafts on the market right now.

The Tensei Pro White is a wonderful fairway shaft. Just the right trajectory height and spin in my Cally heads, IMO. Currently selling my 70 TX but debating if I should try it in my M2 Tour fairway now.

I cannot compare the two,sorry. The whiteboard is tip stiff and high bend point. Bends just below the grip but nothing bends past that. Made for a stronger swinger. Some smooth tempo guys play it,but most I've talked to,or noticed,they are hard deliberate swingers.
