Suzann Petersen apparently has a back problem. Nordqvist is still fighting Mono, as well. Europeans may be in some trouble if their vets start falling.

In terms of pairings is the idea in 4 ball that you want one person that plays with higher risk / reward paired with someone that is more steady? You really don't want the other team to win a hole with a par. Whereas in foursomes you want people that have similar games so they get shots they are used to playing.

 

I'm glad to see that the ticket sales have gone well but I hope the crowd is better behaved than what it was at the last Ryder.

So I was out there this am b fore the rain came. Couple comments the place is going to be a mad house!!! Over 120k in tix sold. The course is in fantastic shape. I watched 2 groupings. Angel Yin can flat out bomb it. She did not look like she was trying to kill it. Great swing.

 

Here is something that was odd... on the 5th hole I think Pat Hurst wanted Daniel to hit a Calloway as obviously her an Wie might get paired in alt shot. Kang was reluctant to do so and I was like wow.... you better have been playing with a few other balls. I am sure Julie will have this sorted out. Got to shake her hand and wish her team luck and it was awesome!!!!! I'm going back Thursday for more of the practice rounds.

The wife and some friends just got into town literally just 15 minutes ago. They will be there at the crack of dawn and will stay all day every day. They were there at Rich Harvest Farms, went to Ireland, and again to Colorado but weren't able to make the trip to Germany.

Yes I saw this as well. Very very odd. And not once did I see them smile or say nice shot or anything to Michelle.

With Norquist running at about 60% , 4 Solheim rookies and Catriona Matthews having maybe her worst season on tour. There's a real chance Europe could be out of it before Sunday.

USA 18-10. And that is with them playing close in singles 7-5. USA will be up 11-5 going into singles.

On paper, it looks like it should be a blowout.

 

That means that it will probably come down to the wire.

looking forward to watching this. The LPGA is nearer to us mere mortals in golf terms than the PGA tour SS's and distances.

 

When I say nearer they are still on a different planet but I can relate more to their game.

Regular season I mean. In 09, she was spectacular. We all hoped that they would finally give her some freedom.

It truly is embarrassing, to be honest. And it provides a great insight as to why Michelle Wie hit her ceiling years ago and hasnt gotten consistently close to that kind of form since.

I'm really surprised that Inkster didn't do the same thing that Beth Daniel. She comes across as a no-nonsense person.
