I've been experimenting with a T200 3 iron with a PX LZ 6.0 shaft. It is long when I center it up, but I'm having a tougher time hitting it than the MP33 3 iron blade I swapped it for.

I have no idea where it is hitting on the face -- may try a different shaft.

Interesting.

I have last year's T200 2 iron with 92g Tensei AV White Am2 -S shaft (my favorite shaft), but been experiencing similar.  Have same spec T200 2i, only has a Tensei AV Raw White Hybrid 90-S, hit it way better.  Also, a T200 22' 4 iron with same Tensei AV White Am2 -S shaft, no problems.  Maybe there's too much experimental technology in the T200 irons.

Price and shaft options for the utility T200 and set T200 are different.  Makes me wonder if there is a technology difference between the two heads.

Then there's my trusted ole blade 718 T-MB 2 iron with the same 92g Tensei AV White Am2 -S shaft, and I hit the bejesus out of it.

For those reasons, I am more than likey going to buy the new T150 utilities and T100 set irons when they come out.

Tried many UIs, still own a Srixon ZX and the u505. For a few months now I have the SIM DHY in the bag as my 3UI. It performs and it has a better ball flight compared to the Titleist, which I can hit to the moon!

I feel you. Someone was selling the 3 & 4 T200 heads here at a solid price, and my T100 set is 5-PW, so I thought I would give it a flyer.

I assumed the T200 DI and standard iron heads are the same -- and the upcharge is the shaft -- but maybe not?

I'll keep my eye out for a T100 3i and try that. I think they are really forgiving for their size, and I think the smaller head just suits my eye better -- the best explanation I can think of for why I hit the MP33 more consistently than the T200 at the same length and swingweight.

I carry a 3h and 4h currently. Interested to hear which long irons people find to be the most accurate and still easy to be consistent with. I want to add a 3 iron or similar for a few reasons.

1) I love irons in general. Love how they feel. So I think I should at least try a 3 iron and compare it to my hybrids.

2) I hit my hybrids prett well, but my shot dispersion is good enough to find the fairway but rarely to a hit the green from 200+ yards.

3) I think a 3 iron would be a good practice club for grooving my swing.

So I'm interested in people who've tried different 3 irons and found one that was better.

I hit the Ping iCrossover today at a golf shop and I gotta say it was awesome. They didn’t have an x flex so dispersion was decent but could be better with a x flex from my experience. Was launching a 3 at 100’ + which for me is crazy for a 3 iron. Going to end up going with the 2 iron in it to get the yardage number I’m looking for.

PXG discounted their 0311 X Gen 5 driving irons so I scooped one up as I have been looking to expand my options off the tees.  Love the feel and the weight.  I've only taken it to the range once.....but I've had zero issue making good contact and getting the ball airborne.  I'm almost wondering if I was getting too much air.  Anyways....I'm taking it out for the first time Friday morning.

Same. Put an X100 in it. Nice penetrating ball flight that goes straight and rolls out forever. Exactly what I was looking for.

Looking for one myself.  Want to replace my set 3i (mizuno mp-68) with a driving iron.  I'm a member at short, tight, parkland course and my driver gets me into trouble more than it helps on several holes.  There is just no need for me to hit driver but I still wouldn't mind some decent distance, I just want a low running shot instead of high.

I hit a Titleist TMB I think it was 3i with an s300 and it wasnt bad, also a ping icrossover that I liked a lot but still too high as it was a 3 @20*. They only had the 4 23* srixon in reg flex.  That won't work.

I will research some of these older models mentioned too but is there another new model I should check out?

Agreed, I like my U500 a lot, esp the small face and minimal offset, but even with a heavy low-low steel shaft, it flies too high. Good into greens though.

Yep, heads are the same.  But I suspect the difference is Driving iron has an aftermarket shaft and is longer length than set iron.  One T200 2i has Tensei AV Raw White Hybrid -S, another has Tensei AV White Am2 -S both at 39.75", Driving iron length, and each is D1 swing weight.  I hit the T200 22' 4i farther and higher flight than 620 MB 21' 3i; it's easy-peasy long.  However, the T200 2 irons require a bit more swagger of a swing.

T100 3i is same loft as my 620 MB 3i.  The T200 set doesn't offer 3 iron, but T200 Driving iron has a 20' 3 iron.

I went back to the u505, its standard shaft, which matches my driver and 3W. Its also my go to club this time of year in our Melbourne winter where height and carry becomes key

I have played a few different ones ranging from Cobra, and Titleist, and I currently have the ICrossover. I can't say enough good things. Amazingly forgiving, high launching, and love the look.

I’ve had the older T200 DI 2i, a Callaway XForged UT from 2019 4i, a Mizuno FliHi 3i, and a Mizuno FliHi 2i. The Mizunos are the easiest to hit by a good margin for me, a lighter, shorter shaft has also been much more preferable for control actually. I currently game the Mizuno 2i, which does fly a bit low for me, but it’s very very controllable. I thought I would hate how bulky it looks compared to my 221s but it performs so well for what I need.

I’d say if you can’t test too many options or are buying blind, the Mizuno is a very safe option.
