I'm not an expert but have picked up some wisdom too. FW Sheriff (I've seldom met him or his place of work) is asking the most relevant question but there's at least two things that I'm seeing that are off. Usually one or two things will lead to more. Three pics make it tough and if those three are all that's been provided that would be another clue. Even one thing that doesn't check every single box is enough to say it's not legit. I'm not saying for sure but I'd never buy it based on the three pics you've posted.

Unless buying from an authorized dealer or a recognized authority, I'd say I'd pass.

Neck seems way too short and the backside of the top line is way too sharp, those are the two things that come to mind immediately. I could be wrong but if you're posting here this isn't a sale with a authorized dealer and a legit COA.

it's on ebay, $1,650 ships from california.

agreed, i'd be hard pressed to part with that much money over an ebay transaction, but was curious if there was anything obviously fake.

Fakes are sold on eBay every day & I'm sure you're aware of that. The expects should be along shortly to give you the answer

I'm not a lock stock and barrel expert but I wouldn't pay 100.00 for it. The two reasons I've stated above are enough for me to run, not walk, away from the deal. If that's the only three pics posted that'd be my third clue. Even without that if you're even considering buying for that price on eBay without them being a known CT dealer, I'd hold my "Buy It Now" finger well back from the button. Good luck with whatever you decide but 1500.00 on three murky pics is like playing Russian Roulette with a semi auto. You're going to lose.

If the auction was already pulled by eBay, it was probably not an auction you want to get in on.

Silicon Valley Dale seems to be back in the house. How did that happen? :dntknw:

How is he not here in the first place? Ask that question and answer it honestly. I could just go ahead and clue you in and hopefully you'll see this before I suffer the same fate.

1. There is no reason. Being passionate about golf is his only crime. From what I've seen of course.

2. If 1. proves untrue please expound and extrapolate. What was this alleged persons crime? Where was he ever out of line? I may not be privy to all the details but as a 100% anonymous long time lurker from afar, why isn't he here anymore?

This place likes to kick a fellow golfer in the head. In this case a fellow golfer that may have passed a PAT recently (2017 IIRC) and is as passionate (of course only from what I've seen) as any other golfer I've ever seen. His advice seemed solid. He only had his fellow golfers best interests in his mind and heart. Maybe I misread the guy but he seemed to really care. He didn't seem to suffer fools particularly well, but from what I've seen he was true of heart, mind, and spirit. Even when that happened he seemed to handle the situation well. Do you really care? Were you upset like I was, looking from afar of course, when he was no longer here? Did you question why he was no longer here? I did and I wasn't able to ascertain the reason. That might have been the reason that I finally pulled the trigger and joined. I'd really like to know and I for one am shocked and very dismayed that he isn't.

Of course this isn't my problem but I encourage, as strongly as I possibly can, to ask why he is no longer with us. Why would a fellow passionate golfer no longer be here? I personally have been met with a lukewarm response. Maybe he felt the same after being beat down and trodden into the dust of this site. Or maybe there was more nefarious reasons afoot. There hasn't been a single person here that I'd not love to play 18 with. Some I'd have to grab the clubs when I hit the restroom at the turn, but those have been few and far between.

The world will never know. I mourn the loss of someone so passionate that he wasn't afraid to speak his mind. Wasn't afraid to try to help a fellow man and golfer. Someone that truly loves this game and life.

That's just me of course. Obviously your mileage varies. I'd share a cart with you or him, any day every day. If you're not willing to do that, please put this imposter that you feel you may have found. Have a pleasant evening my fellow golfer.

You sure do know a lot about a guy who made his last post on this site about a week before you joined it. You're either one in the same, or you have one hell of a man crush on this stranger you could never even have interacted with on this forum...

LOL on LeftyLuck. It'd be his third return if he sneaks back in. Though, his previous return wasn't sneaking, but sanctioned.

FYI, any PMs sent to me will not remain private on any topics covered in this thread.

Listing is still up on the bay. Crazy how a tour rat stamp raises the perceived value by $1k plus... and I’m a sucker for it
