I'm a mechanical engineer that works on software, and hasn't done any mechanical engineering in a long time.

Sully makes spreadsheets for a living.

I think Goose is our only hope for a Hive 3D printed driver.

I forgot THDC. He's got a PHD in something impressive, but can't keep an accurate golf score.

We're counting on you, Goose.

Yeah, nope. I can build you a pipeline or assemble golf clubs, that's about it.

Hand forged and stamped out of aluminum foil and Home Depot sheet metal. Each unit is uniquely artisanal and will cost $10k.

Just so we’re clear: no 2019 schedule email -DCGT or otherwise- has gone out just yet.

Multiple events at Hivemore gonna happen tho.

3D printed club(s): sounds like a perfect twist for the 6s.

Also, I really hope CJ got his box o wine back.

DC - Woodmore hasn’t closed once since I started as far as I know. There have been days when people don’t go out, but the course was still open, in theory.

Frost delays are rampant of course.

No dice. I got a $5 Starbucks gift card lol

Nice! You only need two more quarters to get the only drink worth the extravagance there, a grande nitro cold brew. I was floored when they told me I couldn’t order the bigger size my first time trying. I combatively ordered two grandes instead and guzzled them down in 30-45 mins. For the rest of the day at work in the office I was like:

I occasionally work at a WeWork downtown, and they have nitro cold brew on tap. It's a delicious afternoon pick-me-up after I've already had 5 cups of hot coffee in the morning.

Do you notice a difference in sheer caffeine intake? Starbucks ish is STROOONG. To sum it up most efficiently, I felt legitimately high off caffeine. Granted I drank double what I should have. Never again.

Cold brew is A++. It's easy to make your own at home, I have a pitcher with a little cone filter in it. Throw the grinds in and fill, 16 hrs later you've got legal hooch.

Not compared to normal coffee. I drink way too much in the first place, so I'm not too impacted by it any longer. I'd say on average, I drink 4 normal "mugs" of coffee a day (like 8 actual coffee "cups"). This weekend I was a bit sick, so I drank 3 mugs then went back to sleep for 2 hours each day. It's probably not healthy.

Nitro cold brew is a different animal than regular cold brew. I don’t know the exact science but it involves a keg and an extremely smooth, potent version of coffee.

64ish ounces of coffee daily? Wow bro. I thought I was bad!

We got big into cold brew this year. We love it, but it takes so much f'ing coffee. In the summer I like to brew enough that my wife and I can fill 30 oz tumblers each morning, which requires more than 2lbs of beans/wk. Luckily Costco sells decent coffee at about $6/lb.

I too grind my own beans for summer cold brew fueled by Costco beans and Costco cold brew makers. Couldn’t find the bean grinder via Costco. Had to go to the Enemy Amazon. Cold brew is awesome in that regard. However, to others point, the yield is small and it becomes another daily annoyance amongst your daily activities. Much easier to throw the k cup into the keurig!

When I can, I use the $4 Trader Joe's coffee.

Making it is a bit of a hassle but at 4-5 bucks a pop, it's still much cheaper than paying Starbucks to do it.

Nah. 8 "coffee cups". For whatever reason, a coffee cup is about 5-6 oz, not 8oz like a normal measuring cup. So a lot, but not quite that bad.

That's not TOO crazy. Maybe that's about 2x what it takes for normal hot coffee per oz? I'll go through a pound of beans a week, give or take.

If Sully stopped drinking coffee, his digestive system would completely shut down, and he'd die of constipation like that guy on the Sopranos.

My body is entirely clear by 8am at the latest.

Cold brew ratio is anywhere between 4:1 and 8:1, depending on steep time. My cold brew pitcher is about 1 qt of water for 250g coffee, so figure half a pound per quart.
