Saw the link as well. Only thing people need to be aware of is with this deal you have to pay the $100/yr for Arccos Caddie. If you buy the full sensors for $250 (can get it down to $200 with coupons) you do not have the $100/yr Caddie subscription fee.

Whats the difference between the two? These require a subscription to work?

Nice tip. Will take 3 years to come out ahead with the $250 option. The Arccos site says no courses within 3 hours of Omaha though.

My G400 Max just got me a free set. Truth be told, I've been wanting the Arccos system for a while and was about to pull the trigger on smart grips. This is just sweet timing!

 

I'm certain that if you buy the $250, now $230, sensors that you still need to subscribe to the Arccos Caddie software to use them ($99/year). As such, the PING deal is phenomenal.

The website specifically says no subscription required with the $230/$250 option

There is NO yearly fee with the full $250 kit, there is a $99 yearly fee with the sensors you got for free.

 

On a side note, had the full system last summer, sold it after a few rounds. It's a phenomenal idea but until they come up with a way that it doesn't miss shots its worthless. I spent more time fiddling with my phone adding shots that the system missed than I did actually playing.

I was wrong. The grips also require the subscription fee, however. That is what I was looking at. I still think this is a good deal for anyone looking to get into the system. My Minnesota season is coming to an end very soon but others should be able to use the 90 day free trial.

Timing sucks on this promotion. I’d be outside the trial period before I really had a chance to use them here in NE Ohio.

Not sure what to tell you I went on the app started an account and that’s all the further I went I did not put any credit card info in and my sensors are shipped and scheduled to be here friday. I figured I would try to save the trial period for the spring. Now there’s a chance the free trial may not be available in the spring but the free 90 days is useless for me now since winter is approaching.

I hope these are great but am quite skeptical due to the proximity of the phone to the club. I do not like having a phone in my pocket and keep it in the cart or holding on the push cart. If this won’t work with that arrangement then these will not end up in the subscription.

Good that you can do this! I am in the same boat... free trial now would not be much use to me!

I got the sensors. My thinking is that I'll be off to some other tracking system in two years.

I'm so confused,how can they tell what sensors someone is using to be able to charge Ping free users. And I thought the caddie portion was the part that cost money not the regular tracking?

There is likely an access code in the $250 set that they sell. I received my shipping notification on the Arccos and it is coming from PING not the manufacturer. So it would make sense that the lifetime access code isnt present.

I ordered a set. With the break even point at 2+ years, it seemed to me a good deal

Received my response from Arccos and they are unable to delay the start of the trial period. If you haven’t already, I’d try the work around others have used. Worst case scenario is that the 90 day trial isn’t available next spring and you’re in the same boat as us.

would it be silly to use arccos if youre always playing in wind? i already use grint for stats, arccos is mainly for dialing club distances right?

I don't think its silly. It also tracks your stats and gives adjusted distances for the wind.

I just received mine today. Does anybody know if the app works better on Android or ios?

Received mine today and installed them. Process was fairly easy and took 15 minutes. Looks like the weather might hold out for a round this weekend, however the sensors need 5 rounds for the caddie feature to be enabled. I won’t hit that mark until next spring ?

Has anyone tried these sensors with the other caddie options that are unpaid? Like selecting 'arccos trakcers' or 'cobra trackers'?

 

I find it hard to believe they are special for ping, they have to all be the same sensors.
