Which is the best Odyssey #9 putter?

In your opinion which is the best Odyssey #9 putter to date and why?

I really enjoyed the original xg that came with the sticker on saying something along the lines of 'Pkease note the 5.3 million USD won by Phil Mickelson is not included' ?

I liked the Versa no. 9 and also the Stroke Lab version.

Versa for me and I’ve had em all. Best look and feel.

ProType Tour is my favorite. It’s been in my bag for years and I have no desire to even look at a new putter. Had the Black i series as well and liked it, but I prefer a milled face to an insert.

I tried a few and the best setup for me was the #9ht. But I’ve always liked a Ping Anser style putter best.

Odyssey Metal X Milled Versa #9Ht....been in my bag for a long time. I’ve owned several high end boutique putters, but this one still is the best feeling and performing for me.

I'm surprised I'm not the only one with this opinion...i had one of my best putting rounds of my life with this putter. Unfortunately, the magic wore off. I found one a few years ago that was basically new but I purged most of what I had and it didn't make the cut. Very under rated, I don't feel like it gets the love it deserves!

For me the Black Series Tour Design #9 at 340g is the best of the heel-shafted mallets in the #9 configuration.. Definitely prefer the milled face over inserts. Much better distance control for me.

Another vote for the ProType. Not a fan of the insert versions.

I sent an older #9 to SpryEvo for an aluminum insert to get the weight up and change the spongy feel of the crappy insert. So much better now..

I've had the black series tour design in the bag for years now. Awesome on mid long distance putts, really good distance control. 

 

Also have the black protype version, sounds nicer, feels even softer (both are milled), too much though - struggle with distance control and never got used to the black shaft. 

 

Both beautifully balanced putters for me.

I think I've had every Odyssey 9 putter ever made, only ones I have now are the Prototype High Toe and Black Ice
